Okay. A heads up for eu rom users!

Xiaomi EU has just released new eu rom for Mi Max and Mi Max Pro (Prime) based on the latest Stable V8.2.3.0.MBDCNDL

Mi Max 32:
xiaomi.eu_multi_MIMAX_V8.2.3.0.MBCCNDL_v8-6.0.zip

Mi Max Pro (Prime):
xiaomi.eu_multi_MIMAXPro_V8.2.3.0.MBDCNDL_v8-6.0.zip

Here you go. A guide by Doom Slayer at xiaomi.eu. Just follow thru, can use more updated twrp for respective helium and hydrogen sets.

Hint: You will find that it's pretty highly similiar to the EDL guide I posted (at least to the twrp part I mean). So if you have hands on on the EDL mode before, this will be piece of cake. NO NEED UNLOCK BOOTLOADER. I mentioned many times, EDL mode will bypass many things.

This means that volte is not working. Your phone is supposed to be on 4g even when on voice call.

Yes correct. HD voice call supported but 3G mode (older gen), newer VoLTE not working as telcos up to date still no include the phone to their network.

Hate that though, it's pretty annoying to see it keeps jumping mode when calling or incoming. Data will stop working when that happen. Sometimes (maybe always), SMS come in also will also drop to 3g mode. That's my experience on this.

No issue on that i guess, since twrp can flash on locked bootloader.

OK. Should be okay as I think the bootloader only need to be unlocked once for adb fastboot the TWRP image into the phone.

Yes, locked or unlock also can follow. So far i feel that this is the surest method to get it done since I never hit any problem before.

Hi guys, finally got me a set of the 32gb. Can anyone verify for me whether this rom is a fake china rom or vendor rom as the phone comes with 8.2.12.0.0. i downloaded the lastest global rom from the official channel but the phone was unable to verify package as shown in the screenshots. Can any kind souls guide me what should be done to rectify this problem? If this is rom that im having now clean? if so i will not be doing any changes to it. appreciate all help. Cheers

4g does not support voice calls. That's why when a call or SMS comes in it needs h/3g to receive it...

When you are on h/3g on a voice call, you will be surfing in 2g speeds.

Go to:

Settings.
Sounds and Vibrator.
Vibrate on touch > Off.
