See how long more you can take the rubbish audio crap... Kekeke.

I listen to mp3 and radio on the go. So, audio is upmost important to me. Now, with eu rom, the earpiece audio output quality is top notch and shiok to the max. :)

Tahan first. The thoughts of restoring makes me lazy and I don't like the idea of using mi account or other type to restore apps. The only stoppage point now is my call logs and sms.... 6k+ le. :s13:

Anyway the main reason why i don't use mi account to restore is that, it always mess up all my contacts and sms.

yeah i like samsung calendar since those days i was using galaxy note in 2011, it can attach with pics too. think i prefer it the most.

if not because of switching to other brands smartphone, i could have using it for years instead of business calendar.

Hi all Max'ers,

had finally hooted my MI MAX and will be collecting it within these 2 days from the Seller. Can any kind soul advise what are the few important MUST DO checks to do when checking out the set at the shop?

Had verified with Seller set is on Global ROM and with Play Store installed but how to check it's "proper" (hope I'd used the correct terminology) Global ROM and not some "fake" Global ROM etc? Had read up this thread from page 1 but am lost among all the wonderful advice by fellow active Max'ers like Kelvinti and Dragonguy etc...

Will post a screenshot of my Mi Max's details once I'd collected it - till then, so very excited to get my hands on it ASAP!!! :)

Actually, I think delivery would be a better option.
Still get a day or 2 to slowly check and try out the phone rather than the short period at the shop.

Global ROM has 4 numbers. E.g. 8.1.0.3
Latest Global stable for 64GB/128GB is 8.2.1.0, 32GB is 8.2.3.0.
If the "Updater" app prompts that a newer version is available, it's a real ROM. Only real ROM can update via OTA.

If it shows 5 numbers, e.g. 8.2.1.0.11, it's a fake ROM.

Go to Settings, About Phone. Tap on "Kernel version" multiple times. It'll launch the Hardware test menu. Run through all of them.
Can bring a powerbank if you want to try if the phone can charge properly anot, and a pair of earphones too.

Whoa! Some serious calendar activity there. Looks to me also like you're using it to track account interest payout?

Anyway guys, check with you - is there a control for volume settings etc during call? Really finding it a problem that the call volume is soft.

Sent from Xiaomi MI MAX using GAGT

Pressing up vol button does not work for you while on a call?

Haven't you enabled the Locked Screen Notifications and Floating Notifications of the app?

BTW, folks who wanna flash to eu rom, stay at 8.2.2.0. Don't flash the latest 8.2.3.0 as I find it a little slower or lags a bit than 8.2.2.0.:)

Well..everything is on except the floating notifications. Let me on that and try again. Thank you

Also check the Other permissions of the app in the Security app to see if there is another needed restriction or privacy that need to be lifted. Example, Pop Up...
