What miFlash veriosn are you using now?
miFlash official or miflash beta?
Try the other miFlash version (Official or Beta) if the version you are using now can't detect the com part to see how it goes!

both also can't detect the COM port.

Strange indeed! I''m not sure if it was due to adb error! I can only think of this quick fix at the moment if you do not want to re-setup your 9008 from scratch....
Other gurus may be able to advise you with a faster way to fix.

Thats the problem when using Xiaomi products. Eapecially English version.
If this ia less then 1 week. Try challenger first.

For repair go Xiaomi service centre at Clarke Quay. If you just bought it recently like maybe within a week then maybe can go try Challenger ask for 1to1.

Do you all notice that when you reset the phone the fingerprint sensor doesn't seem to recognize your fingerprint? you need to use the pattern or number to unlock
Yes. I deleted and re-add my fingerprints then it works again.
Less than 7 days go back Challenger for a 1 to 1.
More than 7 days go to Xiaomi for repairs.

How long does the battery typically last for those on official ROM? I'm on 1D 3 HR, not sure if i should charge with 37% left to last me to 11pm.

Small charges are better for the battery than 1 big charge from single digits % to max.
Allowing the battery level to run too low will spoil the battery cells sooner.
