how do you update? the update app or twrp?
i always prefer clean-install, wil do the 'long method' again if have time...

Updater method, lazy to go in twrp and flash (i think same unless you want clean install).

Tested abit on the sound, not bad in beta! Somehow like it for the mi sound optimisation in beta rather than stable. Almost immediately fall in love with the sound.

Will test longer.

Oh btw, i using the "Mi in ear" mode, since i own the piston 3 (the silver metal one, not the pro version though).

I don't know what kind of songs you all listen too. Personally, I always use this song to test any earpiece sound profiles. I'm using Color Edition in Mi Sound Profile with my LG Quadbeat 2.0 earpiece.

No u can't u need to flash twrp in order to flash 3rd party rom, unless they have fastboot version of it (earlier time still have, now not sure).

Well all i can say it mi profile sound differently (to me better, as i love it over stable eu).

Other then that no issue on the volume things, though not sure for bluetooth since my old sony up lorry.

i've not touched 3 days since the day of redmi2e.

for my light usage, battery life typically as follows:

on weekly eu rom 7.4.13.

standby and usage for the past 2 days 1hr.
on China stable rom 7.3.15, miui 7 since the first day couple of months back.

Lol, no problem for me lay. All transition via dirty flash smooth like butter. My previous stable eu was 8.2.3.0 though.

Try wipe davlik and cache in twrp (i didn't though) to see if it solved your problem.

On ya, did you reboot after first boot into the phone? I did though, my habit always.

Mine for eu 7.4.20 beta, 85% (after flash) to 73%, about 8hrs plus uptime, screen time on about 1hr 2mins. Few calls and there, web browsing, facebook, sgag, play phone settings, youtube testing, music testing.

Yes, developer rom is very risky. Some even lost their imei during flash.
