Hi guys,

question related to watching movies / shows on mi max again please. Once I put the files into the 'movie' folder, do i also put the subtitle files there? I know stock android player doesn't play the subtitles, so am gonna try using MX player after googling.

Yup! By default. The subtitles file must be in the same folder with the video file for whatever player that can recognize the subtitles. :)

The subtitles name must be the same as the video file name in most cases too. :)

Looking at the high price of Mi Max now. I think that the potential buyers should wait for Mi Max 2 if one can wait a little bit longer, probably from late June onwards...provided there is a Global rom being pushed out by Xiaomi by then... :)

High chance either eu rom comes out shortly or modified rom comes with the phone after 2nd batch.

1st batch should be just cn rom.

Still too early I guess..

Still toying whether to get Mi Max 128 or MI Max 2 64...

At this juncture. You should get the Mi Max 2 64.

Mi Max 1 is an old product and it is EOL now..

Mi Max 2 has an improved camera, at the least, plus stereo sound in landscape mode. Reversed charging. Bigger 5300mha battery.

Speed wise, do you practically feel the difference between 625 and 652 for normal basic and media usages? I guess not.

After all, Mi Max 1 or 2 is not designed for high end games. Normal game play is just as good as other phones.

Think again, bro. :)

Btw, the Gift Cards for qoo10 can be used to do payment, right? As in during the payment page can use the purchase gift cards to pay, right?

Should be able to. Not too sure about gift card thingy though.

Someone else here may be able confirm it for you...

Hi all, checking is the difference on 652 4gb significant? While driving grab I often open Waze and Google map simultaneously, to counter check each other's route. I simply love the 6.4" screen, must be very shiok when running maps on it, but i cant afford it to be laggish. Pls enlight.

I thank you all.

would checking the maps on the split screen of Max 2 be better for you?
4gb should be suffice.
SD652 is faster than 625, but the latter has much better power efficiency and longevity.

Not related to mi max but just curious what browser do u guys use?

I use opera mini + extreme mode data saving. Although some website the layout can't load properly but forums like hwz or reddit work perfectly!

1 hour of continuous browsing less than 5mb compare to chrome 100mb.

Downside it load slower.

Any browser like opera but faster or more data saving to recommend?
