By right no.... By left yes.... Hope you understand this lol.....

There is reports of "supporting"..... there are also reports of refute..... so..... its up to your belief..... GENERALLY, it charge faster in qc2.0 & qc3.0..... and qualcomm states "yes", but did not elaborate further..... only say up to oem..... xiaomi never states it..... even in miui forum... no moderators say anything....

BUT.....IT INDEED CHARGES FASTER........

Hope this won't get u confused......

Edit: FYI, using note 4 qc2.0 .... charge time from 8% to 100% (last tested)..... is around 2 hrs 20 mins.... charger note 4, cable xiaomi, phone on, no usage......
Your charging time very fast!

My charging time from 4% to 100% was around 3 hours using Aukey QC3.0 (5-port charger). Not sure if changing cable will make a difference, was using GoSpeedy+ Gen2 flat cable. However, this is still faster than using a non quick charge charger (Anker 5-port) which took 4 hours.

Ok, another of my reports...

So far the battery is fantastic. I was out for the whole day for 12 hours and battery still 50+% left. That's nothing new here, many people already reported that. That's the key reason I chose this phone over the beautiful seductive Note 7

For me, I'm still playing around with this phone while still using Note 3 as my working phone. I don't want to transfer my data over till Global Miui 8 is out for my 128GB model because I have huge amount of data that will take a long time, that I don't want to redo. Global Miui8 beta for this 128 GB model is not even out yet! and it looks like a long wait.

But now my 2 nos. Note 3 batteries are dying fast. Together they last me less than half a day and I'll have carry extra power bank. Imagine carrying 2 big phones and add on another power bank! I found a good solution by using my Note 3 as WiFi hot spot for Mi Max and leaving its screen off unless necessary to check WhatsApp, emails or sms etc. Now the Note 3 can last the whole day because the weak battery can last proportionately longer on lower discharge rate( standard physics of batteries - lower discharge rate= higher total capacity). I use the Mi Max for web browsing, media playing for everything else that are heavy battery draining apps.

I tried using Mi Max as the ftp server to use the direct inter phone link to the Note 3 without need for a WiFi router. It worked and is very fast because both phones support super fast 11ac WiFi. I transferred some media files over without using clumsy cables. But I don't want to transfer other data files over so as to avoid mixing old files and new files on two devices that can cause confusions.

So this report is for those who has the same usage as me. We can share experiences and tips here to keep this thread the liveliest on HWZ. ☺
You can probably use Bluetooth tethering to surf on your mi max. Should use lesser battery compared to hotspot.

I still don't know how you got to the first screenshot.

What is your "Screen On Time" aka "SOT"?

I installed 'quickshortcuts', open the app and key in 'battery', it will have some results, explored each one to get my desired info on the battery.

second screenshot shows my SOT.

I only tested 1 time.... so results may varies.... besides qc2.0 charges faster due to constant volt.... but it also makes the phone hot.... which i dont like.... thats y using the normal pathetic note 2 charger.... which can take up to 5 hrs from 0%.....

I think cable also play part ba...... the aukey qc3.0 wall charger i ordered comes with its own aukey charger.... so will test once it's sent to me ba.... but first need to bring the phone below 10%.... which i hardly did so......

Hey guys, is there a mod or app that let us run two apps side by side like my old Samsung notes? ie. With MIUI 8's dual app function, we can walk/hatch two Pokémon Go accounts? ;)

I tried the dual app and run 2 Pokemon app with 2 different login. The duplicated app can start but it keep showing that it cannot logon to any GPS location eventho GPS is on.

Can login but can't play at all.

Can any of you try and update here?

I bought the same type in silver color just to tone down the gold color of my Mi Max. I would've prefer either transparent or smoky black but these colors are not available yet until Mi Max has enough market presence.

I bought from a phone accessory shop for about S$5. I prefer to try on and feel the materials instead of buying online.

I'm used to the very slight friction and subtle softness of the sp I used for the Note 3. The bare screen of the Mi Max is too hard and slippery. Sometimes when my touch slipped ever very slightly, Mi Max will think that I'm swiping and failed to open the link.

I need to feel the touch of the sp as it's very personal hence I cannot buy it online. But I couldn't find a good one. Those available are too small and don't even cover up the black borders.

that's because I am only a mid user.
just surfing browser, music, wechat and using the banking apps.

gsmarena reviewed mi max and gave the browsing a whooping 19 hrs! with standby of 109hrs? that's like freaking near to 5 days.that was the reason I bought this phone.

who knows maybe our network infrastructure consumes alot of the battery?
and oh ya my battery usage is based on 3G since I don't need faster speed.

right now, testing with the developer options on.
