I have one issue that is my app does not stay on for long after I open it. Usually, we have to close them or else they will stay open. It seems that the phone has a setting to close an app after it has not be use for a while. Anyway to force the app remains open until it is closed manually?

Security > Settings > Battery usage > Set "Clear cache when device is locked" to 'Never'.

Which rom are you on in the 128GB? Do you get the low volume problem and late notification bugs?

I got convinced by the fellow users here and bought a 32GB global rom one. Very happy with the phone and didn't dare to upgrade to MIUI8. All functions are working very well now.

If sideload and can work, likely means it should be playstore problem as the app itself is fine, but playstore blocks the install.

Read on mi forum, one comment guessed is that it's possibly something about the way they validate devices to decide if the app is 'compatible'. Sounds plausible.

Uniqlo app is different issue. Can install from playstore, but crash. Sideload also crash, so this should be developer/app problem.

Normally I dun use app if similar function is available online.

That's my preference too. Prefer browser to app unless app interface is an improvement.

Uniqlo sometimes has promos only available in app, like recently they have their 'shake to win' game.

The app lock method you mentioned simply prevents the app from closing when manually freeing up RAM in recent app menu. Can work also but troublesome when you need multiple apps to stay open all the time. I found that apps auto close after phone locked due to that Clear Cache setting so I set it to Never clear cache. All my apps stay open till I manually close them, and I don't use App Lock feature at all.
