I think buying from Qoo10 is fine so far. Qoo10 is the one holding the money until we receive our goods. I ever bought a fair Beats before and got refunded by Qoo10. So far, they have my confidence.

Initially I got the same 50% stuck while trying to unlock the bootloader. I was using a PC with Windows 7 when I encountered that. After that, I tried exactly the same process on my laptop with OS Windows 10 and it work and unlock the bootloader on the very first try. U might wanna try it on another system.. Hope this helps..

Well.. I tried it immediately after the first failed attempt and it works perfectly on my second attempt on another system..
BTW I sign in both my phone and the unlock software using my mi account number.

On one hand its good that you have had good experience with qoo10 when it comes to getting a refund, but i am sure there are plenty of others, me included, who can attest that qoo10 is a total beech when it comes to aftersales service. I remember there were previous cases of smartphone scams on qoo10 where refurbished samsung galaxy s4 handsets sold at low prices turned out to be fakes and qoo10 aftersales response was nonchalant and buyers ended up having to make police report. Ultimately, we cant just fully rely on qoo10 for consumer protection. I learnt my lessons from past experience and nowadays i choose to pay through paypal no matter how small the amount is.

New listing for 4gb/128gb on qoo10 going for $425 + $1 shipping. Currently best coupon combination available would be $10 mc item coupon + $20 cart coupon + 1000 qpoints to bring the cost down to $385. However, not sure how reliable this seller is so buy at your own risk. Same seller is also selling the 16gb and 64gb variants at considerably cheaper prices than other sellers so not sure if they are legit or not.

Edit: Dont want to mention the seller by name but can just search xiaomi max on qoo10 and sort by newly listed.
Thanks , found it.. this is the best offer

There is also PayPal and credit card charge back. Choose to pay via these and you get double protection.

This offer is really very tempting ....anyone try yet ?

Even if try, it's such a new listing, think will take 2-4 weeks to find out since it's just basic reg mail from china? Their Q&A board doesn't inspire confidence. Lot of non-replies. Missing parcels, etc.

Ya, i saw also. Somemore price so cheap, only 290 for the 64gb model lol :s13:

Yup, essentially they are selling the 64gb at 32gb pricing. You know what they say about when something is too good to be true:s13:. Also, the courier they use, i-dex, i did a simple search on google and i see tons of complains. I would feel alot more secure if they were using more reputable couriers like dhl or even qxpress. All in all, just too many factors pointing towards this being a scam listing or pricing error but of course one can try his luck if he doesnt mind wasting his time and having to go through the hassle of chasing for a refund if eventually the transaction goes wrong.
