Hookay!

My MI Max is fully charged now! :)

It's time to set it up and see for the first time what kind of enjoyment a 6.44" can offer in term of gameplay and video watching as well as net surfing compared to my 5'5" Redmi Note 3...:s22:

Mine 7.5.6.0 is miui7

Ahh! Still MUIU7 based?

Why is that Mi Max Official ROM download page stated as (MIUI8)....very misleading indeed! :vijayadmin:

As for Redmi Note 3 Official ROM download page is stated correctly as (MIUI7)

Let me set up my Mi Max first now to find a what is going on..:s22:

Flashing sexprts! Come in!

I need help here! :(

Anyway, I tried to enter EDL mode by using Minimal ADB and Fastboot (USD Debugging ON and Bootloader Locked):

adb devices

adb reboot edl

But, my Mi Max keeps rebooting back to normal state? Strange? :vijayadmin:

Don't tell me I forgot to switch to MTP connection and that it was still at the Charging USB connection when I executed the adb commands thus the adb commands failed?

In this case, it very likely the edl mode is removed from the global stable rom.

Try going into edl mode front fast boot instead.

Hmmm...

OKay. Let me try!

Also, is the media volume of Mi Maz is much much more lower than RN3? :s11:

Coz, at half point volume level, the Mi Max media volume is so so much lower than the same half-point volume level RN3!

Care to comment? :s8:

Ya!

Media volume via speaker is normal.

However, media volume via earpiece is so so much lower than the speaker at the same volume level setting! Strange indeed!

Therefore, when plugin by earpiece, I have to move the volume level up to almost 75% to be hearable of the mp3 song playback. Strange! :s11:

Chey...! :vijayadmin: Wasted my few hours of time LOL! :s13:

Unlike RN3, Mi Max Indian set somehow cannot enter EDL Mode with Bootloader Locked, at least I couldn't even using various version of adb/EDL commands.=:p

So, the only way is to enter Fastboot Mode if you wanna flash ROM and it is so much simpler!

So, finally, managed to flash the latest MIUI8 Global Developer ROM 6.7.29 for Mi Max 32GB!

MIUI8 is such a speedy and smoother ROM compared to MIUI7! You really can tell the huge difference, man! :)
