Try flashing on a pc instead? If you got no acccess to a pc, then it will be tricky to pinpoint the problem.

First, redownload the miflash beta from another source. If you have a mi account, log on and download it from the miui eng forums
http://en.miui.com/thread-281979-1-1.html

Next, download the latest global rom fastboot version here(just released today, supposed to fix those wifi issues with india sets)
http://en.miui.com/thread-324576-1-1.html

Flash as per normal and see if the issue persists.

Otherwise, you can download and flash the miui 8 beta rom and see if that works for you.

http://bigota.d.miui.com/6.8.4/hydr....4_20160725.0000.28_6.0_global_f040cad0f1.tgz

Finally success!!
Thanks to all in the forum who has provided the ideas and suggestions!!

I admit I made a mistake. I used the incorrect MiFlash Tool instead of the MiFlash Beta (Note to other 1st timers...use MiFlash Beta!!!) .....main reason is because I couldn't download it initially from all the websites..then I re-read the instructions again, noticed the screenshots were not exactly the same (but quite similar)..so Google for it and found it from another website who hosted it on Mediafire.

Ran with that and everything worked!

Re-booted and the Updater prompted to download MIUI V7.5.4.1MBCMIDE Stable

Downloaded that and rebooted ok!

Now to setup my phone again :)

No wonder lah! Used the wrong miflash..!:s13:

Coz it is supposed to be a very simple procedure! :s8:

Good to hear that! Well done! :s22::)

Always remember this:

MiFlash is used to flash Stable/Official rom.

MiFlashBeta is used to flash Beta/Developer rom.

Is the 4Gb ram version worth it?

I'm considering the mere 32Gb or 64Gb :o

At that price! Just get the 32GB!

4GB RAM and 3GB RAM, make no difference in practical usage!

Not enough storage! Slot in your own SD Card and it's safer too on SD card!

Furthermore, only 32GB model has Global ROM! :s22::)

Quick quick buy! :s22:

Haha, I thinking wat I can use this Mi Max for..currently on iPhone 6 awaiting 7 but maybe can use at home as tablet or fun toy =:p

For....Pokemen Go is it...? :s13:

Ya! Just get the 32GB! It's more than enough to go hunting at Hougang! :s13:

At just $200+ with such huge 6.44", you can see and catch more than anyone else! :s13:

Once you get your iPhone 7, Mi Max can be used at home for other purposes likes games, video watching or as a spare phone! The huge 4000mha battery is amazing too and lasts you longer than anyone else to catch more Pokeman when all their battery runs flat before your Mi Max! :s22:

Lmfao, no i didn't even download it. I'm considering to use it for work. I have a laptop at home but it's plugged into many things. I hope the mimax can read pdf and other work related software like MS Office. Unfortunately I don't play games either..hahaha

Chey!!:s13:

Yes! Mi Max is more than good enough and more than capable for such purposes! :s22:

Standard android, PDF not an issue. Don't even need to DL 3rd party reader, got native reader by default. For MS office, there's MS Office Mobile, but I usually use Google Docs.

What are the first thing(s) you guys would recommend me to do once I receive my unit =:p

Correct! Click to buy now! :s22:

Depending on what set you get! China set or Indian set.

If it is India set, you are lucky! You don't have to do anything beside press that Update button to get the latest firmware!

If it is a China set, then a bit mai fun...You must know how to flash it to Global rom likes on the Indian set.

Good bros and sis here will help you especially during this month ...! =:p
