Install ampere and check the charging rate?

Maybe got defective cable/charger...

What you can try is to end all tasks before charging and see if the charging speed will be faster?

it should not be this long. To establish a baseline, use the cable and charger that come with the phone. if the result still the same then it is either the phone or charger giving problem.

Anyone just bought a mi max wants a transparent tpu case? Bought another case alr so no use for it if anyone needs it urgently to protect your beast from damage.

BTW I don't know how many mm is the case but it's not that thick nor thin.

I am using the 64gb from middle sky. Was originally on a modified global rom and i have flashed it to china miui 8 beta.

Almost 85% similar to global rom. Except for the language available, some font size, additional chinese apps that cannot be removed and some china specific apps which is useless to us...

definitely no. max should be about 5 mins every % while using the phone. but mine its like, at least 10 mins every % even when the phone was left unused.

Only some differences. On china rom, there are some china apps that you cant delete, some apps consists of ad asking you to top up your mobile data ,not those pop up type. The best thing with china rom is you can download videos and song from their server using mi video and music app.
Oh and there is no way to set playstore as default.

Function wise should be the same.

64gb n 128gb get it after 29th for miui 8 china stable.... they roll out for 32gb first.... some users reported have miuu 8 stable china installed... they are pushed randomly to users... machiam like guinea pigs first to see if any biggie issue IMHO....

They did say for mi max is 'in the near future'... haha.. dunno how long.

Today, the MIUI 8 OTA will roll out to the Redmi 1S, Mi 2/2S, Mi 4i, Redmi Note 3G, Redmi Note 4G. Some users – but presumably not all – of the Redmi Note 2 and Redmi 2 should also expect a notification. By August 25, all users of these devices should expect seeing an OTA update notification.

As for other devices, Xiaomi says they will receive MIUI 8 progressively, “in the near future.” The devices that are officially confirmed to receive MIUI 8 are Mi Max, Mi Note, Mi 5, Mi 4, Mi 4i, Mi 3, Mi 2, Redmi Note Prime, Redmi Note 3, Redmi Note 2, Redmi Note, Redmi 2 Prime, Redmi 2 and Redmi 1s.
