Just a quick question guys. Very interested to make the switch over due to the big screen and longer battery life than iPhone 6plus.

Does it make more sense to get a 32GB and add an inexpensive sc card to boost up the memory space, or pay slightly more for 64GB directly? It seems that option 1 seems cheaper but other than the additional RAM for the 64GB, anything else different? Also, does the additional 1GB or RAM makes a lot of difference? I'm looking to surf net and read news only. No intensive gaming intended.

Hope to hear all your views before I decide which one to buy. Thanks. Yes, new code out, hurry30 for $30 off.

I don't store things in the jl phone's internal memory. Reason is that if the phone suddenly died, I just need to take out the microSD card will do.

in addition to what others have mentioned, do take note that in original design condition, u cant put in sd card if both sim slots are used. sim2 slot is shared with sd card.
but this can be overcome with art & craft skill.

If getting 128gb, i will be getting directly from taobao i guess. 1799rmb is very attractive to me. Plus shipping to sg, overall sgd$400-410... cheaper than any online for now. But colour will be silver.

Need to control my fingers! :s22:

Hi, newbie here. Just bought a Mi Max after using iPhone for many years.

Am having problems with the MIUI - Google Play store just doesnt work. Have tried some of the things mentioned on the Xiaomi forums without any success. Not sure if it is because I do not understand them, or what.

Looking for someone who can help please. Thank you.
I'm on China Rom and I've no problem using Google Play Store so I would think there's something else that's the problem. Perhaps you can go back to the seller to help you. Most of the online sellers do have a physical store if you check.

Do take note that some apps like Firefox are available on Google Play Store and Xiaomi Store. When I received the update notice and updated Firefox, I didn't check that the notice came from Xiaomi Store. After the update, my Firefox failed to work with some signature failure advice.
I then noticed this difference and re-download back from Google Play Store. It worked again. So now, I'll always check whether the apps update notice is from Google Play Store or Xiaomi Store.

Any good reasons to stay with Miui 8 beta than flash to global stable? I don't feel like wiping out the phone and redo all the installations again. Or is there a short cut to reinstall everything at one goes.

Basically, there are 2 paths which doesn't need data wipe :

1. Stable with official ROM ... all the way
2. Beta ROM ... all the way

Go option 1 if you are those who just want things that will work. New features doesn't interest you much.

If you are currently on Beta (like myself), can just stick to Beta all the way. Along the way, if kana bad updates, just flash back to previous Beta version.
