Hi,

Has anyone used MiPCSuite wit Mi Max? Mine canno detect the phone and prompted me to update the phone. But system update in Miui8 alreay says no update found.

Any idea what happened? Many thanks in advance!

Forget about the Mi crappie.

It doesn't work 99% of time and 99% of Xiaomi phones.

1. Please kindly advise, which one is a better buy in term of the specs? Read of some globa beta kinda things dont quite understand.

- Local set?
- India set?
- China set?

2. If buying export set from india and china set, i read that need to download some apps so that we can use in singapore right? Is it mafan to download? How to download?

Because all the prices are of not much different, so am very blur and can't make up my mind which to purchase now????

My main purpose is i need a stable good google maps because I need direction assistant when i drive. Big screen so I can see clearly..haha

If u want ease of use without much tweaks, just get a local set. But the price is much higher and u get a lower spec handset.

Just install the whole set of Gapps to have all the Google stuffs. Connect phone to PC n run the Gapps install program. No need root
WhatsApp problem because most users never locked it and go to app permission settings n set it. Has no such notification problems. Most Google app you need to do that too to have flawless app performance especially sync with Gmail contacts n calendars
But I highly recommend install euro global ROM instead as is quite bugs free. Mine is 128gb n had tested from vendor custom ROM to China, Developer, XDA global n Euro global

1. Local & India set are using global rom. China set is using the chinese rom. Diff between local & India set is local warranty, so if you want to have a peace of mind and don't mind paying more, than get a local set with 1-year local warranty from reputable authorised local retailer like Challenger. For specs wise, it depends on your usage. 3GB RAM/32GB ROM is very popular for average users like me for light gaming, websurfing, watch video etc.

2. India set is similar to local set using global rom. Google play store is already pre-installed and you can just use it out of the box. For China set, you have to download and install the Google Installer apk.

For your case, I suggest getting a 3gb/32gb local set with 1-year warranty.

After using both Max and RMN3 at same time, feel like easier to use the note 3, but Max display is superbly nice ESP games and vids.

I feel you. That is the "love hate" that one has to balance & accept between screen size and physical size.
