xiaomi.eu rom has it though....

If yours also don't have.... i think have to find 3rd party video player liaoz ....

I like clean restore.... maybe just me .... anyway thanks for the info ... maybe will try next time.... so far this time round done in 30 mins (my method).... it's the fastest so far....

My apps took almost 30 mins to come back. It's my medias... Still copying from computer...

1. did it keep rebooting??... i.e. u will feel vibration....

2. did you install twrp and flash from it??... it's prone to stuck at mi logo after flashing from what i read...

if no.1 is true, then your set is bootloop-ed...

else if no.2 is true, then i suggest you go clean installation....

else if both is false, tell us more.....

i have no experience on no.2... since I do use twrp before... mostly is flashing xiaomi.eu rom and updated roms.... my official global is via my own method... which means clean installation without twrp anymore...

is mi max gps ok? i am tempting to get one for my upcoming trip since google map on a 6.4" screen will be useful.

gps is as good as other high end phones

it never gets too hot like other phone i use unless you are charging and playing game at the same time

Is anyone using Spotify? The spotify notification bar controls does not display the song and artist title. It just shows a black patch. I tried searching but could not find a solution.

Yup, stable version don't have Mi Video. I think it's due to the China content that can be found within.

In total, it took about 40 minutes for my flash to complete. It's a bit scary though, as the instruction above mentioned, as you can't see anything on the phone screen. But, if you drag the MiFlash beta screen to show full content, you should be able to see the files that it's currently copying to the phone.

Hi can I check when you store your contact at Gmail. When you received a call from the people in your contact,are you able to see the call name.

asking because previously I have the Vivo Xshot and can't see the caller unless I store the contact in the phone. Wanted to try China Phone again.

mine is more to manual restore as I don't sign in to mi account.... you can try backing up using micloud (system default) it is faster that way...

Mine manual methods.....
Whatapps >> Google drive
Contacts >> Google contact sync
SMS/Call Logs >> SMS Backup+
Pictures >> Local PC
Songs >> Local PC (i don't download songs anyway, i listen to old music.....)

The rest apps slowly install back.... don't ask me why i don't use modern methods.... i also dunno why myself either...

Bear in mind that Mi Max is huge if you always put your phone in the pants pocket.

Note Pro is size friendly amid 2 years old model.using 801.

Note 4 is using MediaTek chip in which...not that fantastic..and only China rom is available.

Go for one that have SD processor. MTK one is too much of driver issues.
