Carousell app notifications

I cannot seem to get any notification from my Carousell app. I already tried these:

1. Put the Carousell app under Custom in Power Saving Mode.

2. Allow Autostart in Permissions.

Despite the above, if the Carousell app is not running, there are no notifications even when someone messages me. Has anyone found a solution to this? Thanks in advance.

Hi, thanks for your reply. So must remove the mobo then can remove cameras ah. upon removing camera did u put any epoxy or anything.

The way it's laid out, the front cam can take out w/o removing, the back cam has to lift it up abit near the top to remove.

Didn't epoxy, just left it empty.

Hi, I removed the camera on my max. It's quite easy. Just need to make sure your remove the cables before removing the motherboard and thereafter the cameras.

Don't think can be done natively. Try this 3rd party app called Light Flow.

Grinded/scratched/sand-blasted, and pass a sample photo test.

Only personal mobile phones with Hardware disabled cameras are allowed into red zones.

Hardware disabling guideline are
1)All camera(s) shall be physically removed , such that the personal mobiles phones and/or smartwatches can no longer capture images; or

2)All camera lens(es) shall be grinded or sand-blasted, such that only completely blurred images can be captured by the camera(s). The grinding or sand-blasting must be done on the actual camera lens and not on any other removable camera lens cover. The camera(s) shall conform to the grinding/sand-blasting standard stipulated in Annex A.


The only document you need to have is Self-Declaration form signed by yourself and your unit security officer. 2 copies , 1 kept by useco 1 kept by you.

Else as long as your camera lens is either removed. Or your camera captures images that are so blur that it cannot be discerned.

The example in the directive is Font Size 300 letter A , that cannot even be recognized with camera that is A4 size paper distance from the Image.

I wonder if this might be an app problem, I had this issue with my previous non-xiaomi phone also. If the app doesn't run in background, nothing it can do. One thing you can do is turn on email notifications, so at least you have that when someone messages you.

Are you on default theme? Apply default theme and give a try.
