Notice something today morning while I was awake to charge Hp. I off the set and connected to charger as usual. When I woke up 4 hours later is only at 66%, hence I on the Hp back n continue to charge and now it shoot up to 80plus % in less den 30 mins that I have awaken. Anyone have this issue?

Probably a one off thing. Why do you off and charge though?
Just leave it on? Lol.

After a week of using miui7,

I can confirm battery life is amazing. It TOTAlly optimizes battery usage when screen is off. Today since disconnecting charger at Abt 9am, still 89pct (didn't use much la) but still darn good!

Problem is still got bugs with delayed notifications and today my gps can't log on...

I might go back to miui6 and wait 'till official version released.

Hi guys, does anyone here use mobile phones extensively as a portable music player?

How does mi note perform in this aspect?

I have seen mixed user reviews regarding the Hifi feature of this phone.

The sound quality is great, one of the best sounding phone after Vivo. However, you have to tahan the built-in MIUI music player . Only use MIUI player then able to get the hifi effect. MIUI player can support flac but is not as user friendly and feature rich as 3rd party one.

Hello Juxn. Do you mean that the hifi feature can only be activated and effected on the miui player? Meaning that third party players or streaming services like Spotify will not be able to tap on the hifi components?

In the case, how would you compare the audio quality of the mi note without the hifi mode, against other phones? Does it still stand out?

Yup. Spotify will not be able to have hifi. Without using MIUI player, it will stand out in term of loudness as the raw power of the soundchip is there. However, untuned, so it sounds pretty average, still better than most android phones.

Another new thing for those running miui7:

Go to battery and disable manage apps battery usage.

Solves a lot of buggy issues such as whatsapp notification and also my Google maps cannot get lock.

Battery life not really impacted much

Bros here .. just got a new mi note .. and joined the ship :) new to xiaomi devices infact my first can anyone help how to root n get china miui 7 rom ?

Sent from Samsung SM-N920I using GAGT

Hi its very simple..

Just download the China Developer Rom from the following URL http://obigota.d.miui.com/5.9.10/miui_MINote_5.9.10_1cba59d072_4.4.zip

Copy it under root folder of your phone.
Go to Updater app in the phone press the ... menu button and choose update file
browse for the downloaded file and click ok..
It will install the rom and ask you to reboot.

Thats it, now you're with China Miui 7 beta rom

if you want root, go to the security app in the phone, then to permissions. root is already built in the beta roms.

Do note that you need to install the google services through an apk. Unfortunately i dont have the link for it.. so google it.

hope i was helpful with the wall of text.. :s13:

Did you toggle the data from the correct Sim in the menu?
This phone does not support simultaneous 4g connection. U have to choose which one Sim you want the connection to come from.
