Price difference 20%-25%, may not be worth it.

Pro price even higher than oneplus 2, even though specs are similar and pro launched for a few months already.

probably should wait for the Mi5 instead?

Is it only my phone or does all the Xiaomi apps not able to to load the data properly, EG themes, music etc.

Always seem to have problem loading... My other apps all fine.

Dont do it, you will regret it. Mi note itself is a fine phone but the pro version is a mess. Overheating, throttling, performance slow down and terrible battery life. No need to thank me.

Came in here looking for this answer. I need a replacement phone but not sure whether to recontract since im still on 12gb. But thought of 500+ for xiaomi is quite pricey. Then wonder if pro is coming should i wait..rather than get note now and suddenly xiaomi sg announce they wanna bring in

Ok bro thx anyway :)

Just updated to the latest weekly miui7 build and as speedy as ever... Quite fast even considering mi note processor isn't the top of the line.

I don't even bother with stock google rom anymore...

One tip for those looking to keep their phone running speedy:

Schedule a auto reboot every early morning, EG power off 6.55am power on 7.00am

Your phone will be blazing fast the moment u wake up everyday...

U can go security -> BATTERY to do this scheduling...

Did you toggle the data from the correct Sim in the menu?
This phone does not support simultaneous 4g connection. U have to choose which one Sim you want the connection to come from.

thanks bro yes now set to all 2nd sim , still not used to miui.. so many difference to normal android

Camera manual mode

Hi guys,

I went to the SingTel, JCube today to have a test and feel of the Mi Note.

When I switched to Manual mode in the Camera app, the screen started to have red pixels showing up where there was no red in the view. (Eg: I am pointing at a black cable on white table, the black cable would have a red highlighted glow around it caused by these red pixels.)

I asked the salesman if this was suppose to happen, he said no. So I said, maybe it's because I turned on Manual. After I turned it off, the red pixels disappear. Then he said, "Oh, it's because you turned on Manual." :s11:

Is this is a normal occurrence?

It's because of the camera and specs that I am considering the Mi Note. Should I go for the G4 instead? :slant:

Camera wise, mi note confirm lose to G4. Specs also. Only thing that the mi note is better is the build quality.

It's a feature called focus peaking. The red will highlight the focus for you, meaning to say the more red on an object mean more focus the camera on that object. This is useful in manual mode which often found only in DSLR
