I'm using China rom... If I wanna change back to global stable rom, do I need to wipe and install as new? Or can I just install the global over my China rom and keep all my settings...

I just did that yesterday. Please wipe else it will cause many force stop errors. You can create local backup of your apps and settings under Settings>Additional settings>Backup & reset.

Which model should I be choosing on xiaomi china website if I'm using 移动network in China but I want to bring back to sg to use? They have either 双网通 and 全网通 for me to select.

both can be used, just that the 全网通 also supports their 电信network too, alongside their 移动 and 联通 network.
双网通 supports only 移动 and 联通 network, no support for 电信 network.

hi guys, just re-contract my line with singtel for 169sgd for xiaomi mi note 64GB. hope it is a good deal for me. :)

since I believe the out-of-box mi note will not have the latest MIUI version and before I transfer all my data to this new phone, i am thinking to upgrade it to MIUI version 7. I read somewhere that xiaomi OS update is not OTA yet. Does this mean i need to manually download the new ROM version and transfer to my phone? is there any notification from xiaomi to prompt for the update? (like in samsung and iphone). If I need to download it manually, can you verify that below is the correct link? it seems that xiaomi has officially released stable ROM version for MIUI7 global edition, right? is it safe for doing this upgrade? sorry but i never do manual download and upgrade for OS before. >< and a side question, this mi note MIUI7 is actually not exactly the same like MIUI7 in redmi note 2 right? different android base version?

en.miui.com/download-262.html

thanks in advance for your help guys!

I just keep the singtel invoice for warranty, I don't think able to register. For update to miui7 through ota, all your data will not be affected.

Anyone encountered sudden death with your Mi Note? Mine just died while charging and cannot be switched on.

Most importantly is the battery life. My note 3 lasted me easily 2 days
