received my mi pad 4 (LTE version 64 Gb) yesterday which i bought it from Fi**er @ qoo10.

1st concern:
I found an old sim card inside the mi pad Sim Tray. Is this normal ? I do a search on the web and found this information

2nd concern:
The IMEI/Serial number on the box matches the sticker label on the back of the tablet case. However in the tablet setting (Setting >> my device >> All Specs >> status ) , the serial number is showing another different number.

So far the set is working well thou.

Not an old SIM card. Ours are Chinese local sets. They give away free Chinese data together each set. The SIM card can actually be used in China if you are heading there.

Serious? So good? I need to order a set from finer

If it is a sim card inside , it is fine . But the sim card has many line on the contact points which mean it has been use a numerous of time .

My biggest concern is that the IMEI on the tablet (shown the OS ) matches on the box label , the tablet sticker .

But the s/n of the device shown on the OS don't match the box/tablet sticker label .

It sound scarcely right .

I have compare to my mi box serial number both the mi-box and the carton box match accordingly.

I suspect it was use in event and then re-wrap it back .
If there is no sim card , you might not even aware it was used .

At this moment , i just concluded that it's likely a used set which probably used for a short event ( i.e road show).

After compare with a few friends who are using Xiaomi phone . it seem norm that the serial number on the android OS doesn't match on the Serial number display on the box label .

If that is the way they sell new sets, I won’t buy from them. Lately I ordered a Redmi Note 7 and collect from Sim Lim. The person open the box in front of me. I think this kind of retailers are more trustworthy. I don’t mind paying more to a honest seller

+1

It may seem norm, but it's definitely not an honest way of doing business. After all, you're paying the price for a new set, no?

And, I'm surprised that it's Finer playing this trick as I always have a good impression of them.

Which is why for electronic products I prefer to physically collect it myself and power it up and test on the spot. A bit more troublesome but any issue I get it resolved on the spot.
