I think so far so good on the MiTV2 reliability. No other negative feedback on it. I have decided to get the MiTV3 soon. I have checked on the total cost with 65daigou vs the seller in Qoo10 and the difference is about not more than 300 SGD.
I am not sure if it is worth the hassle to get thru 65daigou.

I would rather get from a seller here. Because if the TV is delivered to me spoilt, I can reject.

If get via 65daigou, delivered to you and you set it up and spoilt, then how?

My MiTV2 spoilt... Was going to send back to China. I am also interested in MiTV3 as it is larger and the speaker is better. How much do you reckon would cost with delivery included? I bought my MiTV2 from Qoo10 and in all seriousness, it is like you bought the tv from China. No real support.

My biggest grouse with MiTV2 is the small memory. After you have installed the apps, not much memory left. Also if you run popcorntime, many of the shows won't be able to run due to insufficient memory. Not sure how to resolve that.

The tv is still dead. Hardwarezone forum is not user friendly if u use iPad mini. The ads is causing the keyboard to disappear and the typing is frustratingly slow. Hence, a lack of reply.

Glad that you responded ... finally. Sorry to hear about your Mi TV 2 problem. Did you try opening up the Mi TV 2 and do some trouble shooting?

By the way, how long did your Mi TV 2 lasted you?

I am glad you did reply, currently I am talking to 65daigou as there is a promo going on till 29 Dec ( I'm not sure if it applies to shipping ) Apparently the CSO replied a funny statement saying that the item comes with a soundbar therefore it have to be shipped via sensitive air or sensitive sea which do not qualify with the current promo of Free Agent Fee. I am thinking separating the 2 items and ship separately if the sound bar really required via sensitive air / sea.
If you come on board we can save cost on shipping .:s22:

Don't bother about group buy nowadays. If 3 of you decided to order 3 sets together. Then when 3 sets came and 1 set is spoilt or got problem, how?

This is how you can go into the "Recovery" of Mi TV 2.

Thanks for the info. I am still trying to see how much it cost for shipping. Maybe use my friends shipping agent. The thing is my spoilt TV is still with me as I have yet to buy bubble wrap and art board to protect it. Of course also scared that the new TV will also spoilt... Wife will sure scold.

Nope, I did not open it up. Later warranty void. I decided to just send it back. One way to China I pay, the return Seller pay.

The TV lasted no more than 3 months.. Rarely use too. Not too sure why it just died.

I kept the original Xiaomi Mi TV 2 55" box that it was sent over to me with. Just in case.

That is a smart move. I did not as I don't think a TV will spoil so easily. My Las LG Lcd TV (yes lcd) lasted over 7 years and still working when I gave it away.

So have you found out how much does it cost to ship it back to China yet?

The delivery cost of the TV from China (assuming it is 60 inch) for local importers are hidden in the total cost of the item. Value added warranty for 30 days is also taken from part of their profits. Bearing in mind the cost of shipping to China is much higher is borne by the consumer unlike one way from 65daigou is only less than $100 for the MiTV3.
Therefore if can find your own shipping will be better otherwise it is equivalent to vPost shipping cost.

If you are thinking of shipping in just a MiTV, it is not worthwhile.
It is only when you ship in MiTV with other stuff and chalked up at least 1cbm, then it so worth considering.

Just to give you an idea, I bought a 49inch MiTV. It is around 0.36cbm and shipping cost is slightly less than S$50.

I think the local importer will cover one to one exchange with the first 7 days. After that you will pay for the cost of the shipping to China. But if found broken due to handling, the insurance will cover up to $2000.

I have done some basic calculation to see if it is worth to buy over 65daigou on promo free agent fee (extended). Here are the figures:
XiaoMi TV3 60 inch UHD 4K - $1136.14
GST: S$79.53
insurance:S$34.08
Agent fee:free
Wooden box: $45
International shipping fee: $96.16
domestic shipping fee :$45.5
delivery local : $8
Total is $1444.40

55 inch without sub woofer. With sub woofer it is 1360.
1 month warranty. Keep the box to exchange if any problems in a month.
