Check the TV bracket which can suit the mounting dimension.

The installation of the bracket is simple, but need people help to lift up the TV.

Else use the stands come together with the TV, put it on your TV console.

Installation is not too difficult. But how are you going to have the holes on the wall or feature wall to secure the wall mount onto?

I think drill the hole on the wall or feature wall are not difficult, at least I'm done this with myself. My tv wall bracket bought from Taobao also, can save then save.

Does anybody knows, if we were to buy the Mi TV 3 sound bar, how do we use it with our Mi TV 2 or normal TV?
Check this out http://www.shafa.com/articles/yHSVRTEoF5UuEmda.html
Unpacking of the Soundbar. Dog not included :p

It shows, that the Soundbar is send with a Mi-Port to HDMI cable.
I really wonder how this will work with old MiTVs... Maybe there is an option in the MiTVs to automatically show the picture of the connected input? Otherwise you switch the TV on, the choose HDMI via your TVs MIUI and then will be send to the MIUI of the Soundbar :p

Drilling hole on the wall is of course not difficult lah. It is about drilling the correct position. Also did you use a impact drill for drilling hole on the wall? If not, what tools did you use?

Feature wall is easier because it's wood, don't need impact drill.

lol, want buy then must buy the biggest one. (At that time 70" not yet released)

Kodi not only can't type chinese, the subscribe channel not display at all. I already give up to this.

what I do now is plug my Mac mini into Mitv to watch youtube.
all video watch smoothly.

If xiaomi can solve the youtube issue, then I no need to attach additional device.

I wonder why my Mi TV3 is unable to run PadTV tuner
:(:(

Can confirm something with 2 of you that got Mi TV 3?

Could you let us know what are the "inputs" available on the Mi TV3? From what I can see, there should be 1 x HDMI input.

If it is the case, could you test by connecting a HDMI cable from your notebook HDMI output to the HDMI input of the Mi TV3? Does it work?

Please check and let us know.

Yah. It says :

我的是小米电视2 40寸的,连接之后,HDMI提示有输入源~~~选择一下就进去了主机的界面哦。

Means that the Mi TV Sound bar will output to one of the TV's HDMI input. Just switched to that HDMI input and operate it as per normal.

But now I would like to know whether can normal PC / Notebook use the Mi TV 3 like a monitor.

You'll need to power the sound bar separately and it is done by the MiTV3 Mi-port. Perhaps a separate PS with Mi-port is required if you just buy the sound-bar alone. Anyway I'm also curious about the HDMI inputs on the sound-bar, they are all inputs therefore the only way to output to your normal TV is the RCA.

Although my one is wooden feature wall, but drilling on solid wall I did before.

By the way, if pay someone can drill the holes with no issue, why not?:)

Are you referring tv lcd panel portion? It only have 1 Mi port & Power on back.

But if u talking about the MITV sound bar, the back have 3 hdmi input, u can connect your laptop or DVD player into it.

TV panel itself cannot work independently as a LCD monitor.

Oh ..... Yes, referring to the LCD panel part. So only got 1 x Mi Port and 1 x Power input.

The cable supplied to connect from the Mi TV Soundbar is Mi Port to Mi Port, correct?

From what I read on Qoo10, the separate Mi TV Soundbar has :

1. Power input
2. The cable supplied is Mi Port to HDMI

Too bad. I just want to know whether can the LCD Panel part be used as a normal monitor.

The cable provided for Standalone MITV sound bar is Mi port to HDMI, whereas the MITV set is Mi port to Mi port.

From what I read From China forum, the TV panel itself cannot use as LCD monitor. Mean without the sound bar, the LCD panel is useless.

But I'm thinking if take the Mi port to Hdmi cable connect the panel & laptop together, will it work?
Since I do not have such cable, so I cannot tell.

Let us look at it in the business point of view, by allowing the LCD panel to be able to be used as a monitor, is this beneficial for Xiaomi?

Currently, the "beneficial" part would be that Xiaomi can sell the TV Panel part as "monitor" in Spore and don't need IDA's approval. So only the Mi TV Soundbar will be "export" set.

Don't mind but so meaning to say, the mitv 3(43") cannot be used as a desktop monitor? I see there's 2 HDMI ports.

Personally, I don't like curve TV. From what I can see, curved TV sales aren't fantastic. My guess is that they are trying to clear stock.

I feel that what people want is flexible TV screen, not curved TV.
