Ok thanks i k pair up with charge 3. The sound is a big difference. Beside xiaomi other tv manufacturers have such a function?

May I know what is "charge 3"?

MITV 2 55" unable to install apk

hi guys i have xiaomi MITV 2 55" problem

i factory reset and now i cannot do the following,

1. boot into system 2
2. unable to install apk
3. unable to do OTA update (stuck on 1.2.0)

i need to manually install firmware from USB, does anyone have or can repack to zip file for me?

all apps will stop and will not install anything, so stuck at stock mitv android.

i cannot upload pictures yet

i have contacted xiaomi but do not want to give the firmware, i'm only able to find 49" and 47" firmware but no 55"...

If you are sending mail from outside the Singapore then kindly contact with your respective seller or with your regional support and if you are sending mail from Singapore only then would like to inform you that you need to contact with the seller only. Mi TV is not yet launched so we do not have technical update about the same.

hi guys i have xiaomi MITV 2 55" problem

It is expected the customer service wont help u with anything.

Forget the firmware. Does the hdmi still works? U may wanna buy tv box and call it a day.

how i wish, but everytime i reboot or you can say switch off the tv and on it, it will prompt all the system apps which force closed...and it's an infinite of prompt...then i need to reset and start over ...anymore ideas...i remembered booting into android system recovery...not mitv recovery...maybe from there i can save my backup and edit the zip and restore...but i just seem to get in that menu...

PG staffs have limited knowledge on mitv. (Previously I enquired about the 2 types of 3D glasses for mitv2 & they were not able to answer).

Anyway, try again with Xiaomi China support. Simply emphasise your tv model & that it's from China xiaomi, requiring manual firmware. Dont confuse them with any mention of Singapore as they will cease any support.

i did alot of times, i changed story, thats when they told me they can't send, but the thing is why can't they just send a zip file??? is it that hard? i wonder how the 47" and 49" firmware is all over the web...but the 55" is not...but even when i asked xiaomi china they asked me for the "number"...i'm guessing its a warranty number maybe? cause i google translate the text they sent so i don't really know what they are asking...

but no matter what they still won't send...so my hope is to wait till someone repack the zip for me...

It'll be better to post thread in miui forum. They'll help you better there.

also did that...but they are more to mibox now...or mitv 3 and 3s but no firmware this is the last place i haven't tried...although there is a place to buy the motherboard...cost is about USD56+...will try to ask them if they have the firmware...

you try to search in chinese perhaps you will find more result otherwise see any forumers got the old model and able to extract the firmware for you.

another way is you go to youtube search the downgrade of mitv firmware then ask whether the guy has the firmware for you.

last bet is you whack the firmware in regardless of the size of the tv. technically speaking the firmware should be universal across the same model except for the size.

just now i open up my tv...to see the motherboard - DKTV-E-55-928-AE-20150129

same with the 48" board...so 49" and 47" there is a firmware could be the same and 55 and 48 could be the same... problem is there is also no 48" firmware...

again would try to use 49" firmware...if still fail then i will just order a new board...

can go to englishtaobao dot net

49" use LG panel.. 55" use Samaung panel..

There is currently, no Singapore version of firmware for Mi TV 2, only China version. So did you try asking for the China firmware for Mi TV 2 55"?

thanks will wait...anyway i found out how to unlock adb debug from xiaomi settings...the older version have adb in the menu...but now dont have...then now i have unlock it...will update again as im trying to sideload...

GUYS...i fixed my tv!!!...@pspeter if possible just send me the firmware...just incase...

i will be writing a guide on everything i did and what you should not do...thanks guys....
