Thanks mrsun18 I think ARC will be best suited since it is HDMI 2.0 if it doesn't support ARC ... then it is not as high tech as it seem to be. On the other hand BT 4.0 is the next best thing. It does support optical out into the AVR therefore making it HT capable.
Have fun in your exploration...

mrsun18 I noticed you are very knowledgeable in the AV topics. Theoretically since using the BT out to optical in to the AVR, can it be possible to pre-out Center Speaker to the Xiaomi Soundbar to receive just the Center Channel making it a Centre Speaker instead of a soundbar?

Haha...No 1... not really. Just happen to have an interest in learning anything interesting, back up with the right education and updated with internet resources from those who care to share. Compliments to you too.

Won't talk about this just yet...Need to do further study...

But on your hdmi idea, I think it won't work. Just imagine the Mi TV3 as one big "tv". The pic is self-explanatory.

Hi guys,

I have a 55" Xiaomi TV2 which somehow just went dead.
I can't power it on, it does not respond to any touch or from remote.
I have changed power sockets and tested the sockets with other electrical device. The power socket is fine.
Anyone experienced this before? The TV was working fine the night before.
Thanks.

Sorry to know that your MiTV2 just went dead. How long were you using it?
Wondering if it could be short circuit at the Power Supply due to thunderstorm.

I understand mrsun18 the ARC feature will need to pair with similar ARC HDMI port. Some manufactures just don't list their product explicitly about the ARC support. So I guess the Bluetooth option may be feasible but being old school like myself I'v not yet try out BT.
Anyway just exploring the possibility of the pre-out to audio in (analogue) for center channel.

Once in a rare while I experience something similar with my 49" mitv2. Can't turn on, touch shows light but doesn't turn on. Have to power off/on from the socket before it works again. Your situation sounds more serious though.

Here you go. Around $50?

I have bought a 49 inch xiaomi tv. It comes in 2 packages
(i) TV with soundbar - volume is 234240 cm^3
(ii) subwoofer - volume is 86436 cm^3

Total volume is 320676cm^3 which is equivalent to the volumetric weight 320676/6000 = 53.5 kg.
Since yours is 55 inch, the volume should be bigger, thus the 60kg should be the volumetric weight, instead of physical weight.

BTW, my shipping cost for the xiaomi tv is around $50, and I am not using 65daigou

Which screen is the best for 55 inch?
I would say, 55 inchscreen :s22:
Did you ever googelt the specifications of the available TVs? I would suggest you read on mi.com about the TVs, otherwise it might be difficult for the people here to guess what you need and want...

I read but was a little confused. So mi tv3 and mi tv2 difference is size. 49 inch has 3d. Besides that no much difference.

I am wondering if it is worth to get the TV3 at all since there are some reliability issues and to bring over with no warranty.

It may be difficult to understand for you, but it is also difficult to explain in such a forum the details.

This site, has a good explanation on what you are looking for. Concentrate on the part "Why is Mi TV 3 different?"

Oh I don't mean there are issues in MiTV3. I'm referring general.
1 year warranty. This thing only covers manufacturing defect. That means they have the right to reject replacing your item. I wouldn't even bother carrying the heavy tv to their service centre to replace becoz chances are they are gonna reject replacing your tv once they detect any physics damage including scratches.

Furthermore, manufacturing defect tend to faced up in a day, which is already covered by insurance fees 65daigou or other local stores you bought mitv from

Sent from Samsung GT-I9305 using GAGT

mine shows 1.1.88 as up to date (mitv2). Btw, anyone knows how to switch off the ad that shows up everytime you turn on the tv?

No, cannot switch the ads off. They purposely make it that way.
