The UPS tracking is not accurate.
It was at Shenzhen the whole day but the phone arrived at 4pm.

Need help from Redmi expert here.
Here is my phone setup.
SIM1 - Singtel 3G data
SIM2 - Singtel GSM (non-3G) just for voice and SMS.

How to set priority to WIFI whenever I am on hotspot so as to minimize 3G data usage ?

Dilemma!!!

Should i get redmi 1S or asus zenfone 5? $50 difference but idk if worth

definitely worth it for the additional screen size, better phone design, additional 1gb of ram, dual 3g sim support.

fyi, last time they don't show, but now they do it's a scrolling image, so may be it was showing another image when u visited

Very strange, I did a backup on my redmi, then insert the SD card to the 1S, 1S cannot detect my backup, now I using multiple software to backup from redmi to 1S...

Ok. Managed to solve the backup to SD n restore issue. Damn dumb tat I MUST COPY the entire folder back to phone storage before 1S can detect the backup file.

The same amount of 1GB ram, but increased storage. Important, a cheap phone. So cant complain much

Sorry to sidetrack a bit but it seems like Redmi 1S doesn't support backup to SD Card like what Redmi does as described here: User Guide on backup data to SD Card on Xiaomi Redmi - Redmi 1/1S - MIUI Official Community

I have tried to backup many times, it just kept backing up to phone storage and not the SD card. I have even do a factory reset and format the SD card, it still doesn't work.

Is this a know issue or i've got a defective unit? There is also a small issue with my 1S, the lock/unlock screen sound is very soft, unlike my Redmi (I have both Redmi and Redmi 1s).

I think this is a BUG...

OK, to work around this. First, use the xiaomi BACKUP to backup your REDMI,
which the backup file will be thrown to the SD Card under MIUI\backup\AllBackup\

Insert SD Card to your REDMI 1S, copy the latest backup located at the above directory to the same directory located under Internal Storage

On your REDMI 1S, activate the Backup and you will see your REDMI backup.
Use it to restore
