Sry, but gotta to be frank. The issue is you don't know how to use the phone. Head over to MIUI forums to learn more about MIUI 7 and notifications.

if i dont have anyone at home to collect my delivery, is there any place in singapore that i can walk in and get this phone?

Yes. I just switch to this phone. All my previous android phones i owned from samsung. Sony and lg never ever require me to go to forum to search for solutions.

In the end. I found the solution which i need to go security , permission, auto start and choose whatapps and viber and reboot the phone. This extra step to activate whatapps notifications is totally new for me. U can't blame me totally for not knowing how to use the phone.

Lol. Not blaming you, trying to direct you. People think android means all the same. Big no no. Unless its stock android, it won't be the same as the roms are all customised to have unique features. Just find it funny, (not just you, tons of ppl on forums too)always complain about new phones as long as it is not from those big companies like samsung,apple,lg.... We cannot always take audi compare to toyota. Different feel, different product, different market.:s13:

Notice what is different about Xiaomi, their miui rom give you freedom over your privacy. Something you can't do on other phones by default unless you use apps.

....he is correct. Redmi Note 2 Prime is the better variant of Redmi Note 2, with bumped up CPU speed to 2.2ghz and with 32GB flash storage space. Redmi Note 2 Pro is an entire different variant coming out on 24 Nov. Prime version for now is avaliable as export only. No current plans for international launch.

Mi note pro is stronger than mi note.
Mi note is stronger than mi4 and all the mi4 variants
Redmi note 2 pro is stronger than mi4 and all the mi 4 variants and all the Redmi note 2 variants.

In the end, seems like mi note pro is the only King , while Redmi note 2 pro is behind to rule them all still.

Hopefully mi5 will change again

Not sure on that. I tried that with Redmi 1S but wtill Whatsapp is not receiving message as needed. You may want to monitor for a few days. In Miui forum, this seem to be a common issue. One version of Miui works and another version broke it.

MIUI V7 5.11.5 - developer rom, still beta with couple of bugs. Decide to abandon it.

Found another global rom MIUI V7.0.8: LINK

Takes a long time to download. Google Play is pre-installed.

Great standby time - left it overnight with wifi off @ 100% battery charged and this morning, it is still 100%.

My initial impression is that global rom do not drain the battery as much as chinese rom.

So far so good, will use it for another couple of days to gauge performance and stability. :)

This is extra feature, but you can choose to disable permission manager if you don't like it.
