Everyone also received the 2000ma charger adapter in the redmi note 2 package as well?

You will not receive the China stock charger if you bought it from Xiaomi SG as it does not comply with Spring Singapore Safety mark. However, if you bought it via a reseller you should have it.

Yup global HK rom has pretty good standby battery stats. Try to avoid using the auto brightness feature it is known to drain battery life greatly, on all types of roms.

Go to update and update to 7.0.11.0. After that go into google play services, click on settings, next click on build version. It will tell you a new update is found and google play store will update to the latest 6.0.0.

Unfortunately nope. It is an OTA update, 74MB in size. Try going to installed apps, look for updater than clear the data. Then re-enter updater.

I received a 2000ma charger adapter in the package today, bought from redmi sg. Infact the package included the 1A normal charger as well. So got 2 chargers total today.

Is the 2A charger 3 pin? If it is then nothing wrong. Was expecting them to ship in from the China side but seems like they use Hong Kong one this time round.

Have read the Redmi Note 2 review from HWZ, must say that the phone is a great competitor for its price. In the review, it states that the camera is the same sensor and resolution as its predecessor, with the exception of phase detection autofocus. Does this mean that the image quality is identical as its predecessor?

I am on the forum. Majority of the bugs stemmed from custom roms installed by resellers. Secondly, stable rom has also been causing a slew of bugs. As of now Dev Rom is the "most stable rom".

Problem is not all that easy to swtch stable to dev and may be sometime later, back to stable.

Hi, stable rom are actually not stable. Stable roms are roms derived from dev roms with bugs solved. However, sometimes there still exist bugs in stable which are not easy to catch. Dev rom would thus make sense as every week it will address any bugs that users have highlighted, compared to stable which is carried out in months. It would thus makes more sense to get dev roms.

Somehow I disagree with this one. There is reason it's called stable rom because most of the time it is more stable than dev rom. Sometime dev rom could be so bad, when they fix the bug they introduce new bug that could make the phone becomes unusable.

If you are talking about other phones, I understand but specifically for Redmi Note 2, I have been there since the start...everyone can tell you the dev rom is the best performance.

Any good casings for this phone?

https://detail.tmall.com/item.htm?id=44551995750

This is good for both cases. Tried and tested. Most cases on tmall are bad since their speaker cutout is always bigger if not smaller but this seller items is the exact cut out size.Fits yout phone snuggly.

Cant get it to work later will try again, now on global dev 5.11.12.

Wifi like gt prob with this rom, when in sleep mode it will cut off, apps no notification. Guess will have to flash back global 7.0.7.0

Since MIUI 6, Xiaomi have removed the function to allow apps to move to sd card due to security reasons. By default, all apps are installed on the internal phone storage(that is why phone rom space matters). However, you can still move apps to sd card but it requires you to root your phone and download apps that help to facilitate moving of apps to sd card. Not to mention possible instability issue.
