Xiaomi Redmi Note 3

My RMN3 cannot charge this morning, ask
I charge, it dropped from 39% to 37%.

This is not the 1st time android phone behave this way. Previously S4, then note 3, now RMN3. Is this common with android phones?

did you use another charger to isolate the issue? it could be a faulty charger too.

I could b but the charger I used at home was original xm charger. Had no time this morning to switch to other charger. But now in office charging using Samsung charger

Same. Having drain with Android, Android system. Maybe 5-10% overnight. Restarted with no avail. Only luckily battery is large.

Standard OTA updated to MIUI 8 Global stable. Hoping future updates plug the leak.

I had the same problem too. Battery used to lose about 10% overnight, with GPS off and phone on airplane mode. Read on another forum that there's a bug with airplane mode. I turned off the airplane mode last night and the battery remained fully charged when I got up this morning. You may want to give it a try to see if it works for you.

Technically it is telco dependent as well.

If you're operator dun have 4g then maybe on 3g+3g instead.

At least the voice network supports umts now...

How do you go to SIM status ? Able to screen shot how you turn on SIM 2 data and turn off SIM 1 data.

What MIUI version are you having ? Global 8.0.1.0 or global beta 8.6.9.9 ?

Can check from settings > about phone > status > sim status and toggle between both sims and see connection.

Now i think only beta stable has this feature.

Anyone knows how to get 64gb microSD to work? Putting in 32gb works immediately. Tried various 64gb can't seem to work. Formatting in PC, fat32 or exfat, removing partition and creating new empty partition in PC and hoping to format it in the phone all can't work.

Last time I use 2 diff chargers on my Redmi also same issue ... Think if u don't want that error then just use one and only 1 charger to charge ur phone

4G / 4G shown coz no data is being activated yet!

The moment one of the sim card starts data usage, the other sim will drop to 3G, isn't it?

Although RMN3 battery life fantastic but hard to avoid just charging at hm or at work only

Works when you let the phone format your card.

Just tested on the Note 3 as follows :-

When both sim 1 and sim 2 show 4G signal. Under normal SMS both sim 1 and sim 2 can send out the normal SMS but upon sending the phone will prompt the normal SMS to be send out by sim 1 or sim 2 number.

Upon either select sim 1 or sim 2 as "Internet" setting in the SIM cards & mobile networks. You can connect to the internet without problem and the sim 1 and sim 2 still show as 4G+4G,also sending WhatsApp and LINE without problem.

For MIUI 8.0.1.0 global version, under the SIM cards & mobile networks -> SIM CARD SETTING ,when select sim1 under MOBILE NETWORK, you have three choices to select - Access Point Names or Preferred network type or Mobile networks and in the Preferred network type, you can select Prefer LTE or Prefer 3G or 2G only but when you select sim2 under MOBILE NETWORK only has one selection - Mobile network.

So really cannot check the full details on each SIM status unless the global beta version 8.6.9.9 include the full checking display of both SIM card status.

Using a 64gb micro sd card from PNY, no problem. When first time mount the micro sd card , just reformat inside the phone again before use.

I am a bit confused.
Does the redmi note 3 support 4G/4G at the same time?
Or 4G/2G?
I remembered B4 MIUI 8 I checked with the CSO, they said is a hardware limitation, so the phone only support 4G/2G.

I am on global rom MIUI 8,but I can't seem to make it 4G/4G...how do I do it?
