One thing i really hate about MIUI is the ram management. The worst ram management ive ever used in my whole life. Feels more like a 1GB RAM phone, and im using the 3gb SD version.

Even after tweaking and supposedly disabling all the ram optimizations, the device insists on killing apps up down left right center. Playing pokemon Go, go to desktop to use my bus app, go back to pokemon, have to restart and vice versa. That's just one example.

Another bad one is when youre FBing or surfing a browser and u go out and open another app then go back to FB/Browser, it have to reload it, which means whichever position/page your browser/FB was at, it is gone and starts right from the top, wasting alot of time and also probably waste your internet data since u're as good as reloading a new page.

i dont really care about split screen, i just want my apps to not get killed the moment i press Home. Was never a problem when i had my LG G4 with 3gb of ram too

i'm new to miui - perhaps above "accomplish two tasks at once" might be the missing feature we all needed.

i also tempted to go CM but i read volte and fingerprint *might* not be working. also read my kate varients have different fingerprint hardware hence might not work out of the box after flashing...

will try miui for 1 month - if really very jialet, will jump to Resurrection Remix or pure CM.

Not hard, go Youtube watch the tear down videos. Only problem is battery will last for 2 years after-which you probably buy new phone already.

I seriously hope so... my iphone 5s' battery became sot exactly after 1-year apple-care became obselete and have (painfully) tried to replace batteries from qoo10 & aliexpress. Still living with very very poor battery life now

Just update to 8.1.1. stable ROM from OTA update.

Notice that It can detect 3G+3G with my singtel prepaid (finally..). No 4G at my place now.

This feature has been there since mm was available on developer rom. It's just stable rom is last to the party.
Also some users have mentioned option to choose LTE disappeared. Just bug but will have to wait for it to be iron out.

8.1.1.0 update: don't feel any obvious difference/improvement but 2 annoyances. 1) Every reboot will have to key in password 2 times! First before 'starting Android' then upon entering home screen. 2) Every reboot will remind about the SD card.

Also the reboot is taking much longer and initially the keyboard will flash and freeze for a while before password can be entered.

Recommend you to make local backup on sd card, factory reset then restore from your backup.
