Anyone using the DND mode? Tried reading up but don't sesms to be able to set it up correctly.

I wanted the DND go come on just after 2300 and off 0700. So I went into Settings / DND / silence all disturbances / set up the timing.

However once I set it to silence all disturbances. Regardless of what timing I have set inside the menu, DND is perpetually on.

After reboot again got 1.6gb free ram.. Previously 1.4gb only.. Now monitoring problem with fingerprint sensor.

Honestly, after playing with the XMRMN3 for the past 3 days, here are my impressions:

at first, it was fresh. full metal jacket. impressive looking. But guys let not forget about the 1.8GHZ max speed the processor can clock.

compared to the mi note, i think it lose out terribly.

The saving grace is the OS. now its swifter, faster and capable of anti-lag.

pardon me if im wrong as Im not a tech expert here. just your common joe who bought and try. the specs actually still lose to the flagship mi series.

I think speed wise it is faster than the snapdragon 808/810 devices.. so it feels faster than the Oneplus One device I have (SD801) and therefore should be faster than the mi note

i got a rmn3 last time. waste a lot of time to tinker this tinker that.

i think get a fruit phone better, dont need to waste time to flash this rom flash that rom.

For most users, the default miui will suffice, why need to tinker?

the out of box experience isn't bad tbh.
just get local sets and you shld be ready to go

imo if u are advance droid user, get a nexus..its the best for "tinkering"

At which point u brick the phone?

I have done:

1) unlock bootloader the unofficial way...
2) flash twrp
3) Root

Mine working fine, just cant update latest OTA

i went to unlock bootloader the unofficial way...

then flash twrp

then flash custom rom

then gg.com

I even followed some google video to open the set, unscrew the internals... and try to short the test point to go into EDL mode so i can full flash back the phone... but maybe my skill not there or what, cant get into that mode...

so today LLST go service center and cry and beg and see if they can help me... afterall i itchy hand...

actually when after i flash TWRP the phone is stuck at the mi logo there....

i flash via fastboot.....

then i tot when i flash custom rom everything will be fine... so i did it... that gg.com liao...

but i dun like the unofficial unlock method where when charging the red light keep blinking

Anyone updated new firmware via Ota got problem with finger print sensor for unlock phone? There are times it dun work.. Previous version no problem... How to revert back previous firmware?

Try settings>additional settings>battery & performance>manage apps battery usage. Select whatsapp from the list and set "custom">" stay connected".

I had some delayed whatsapp msg on my redmi 3 so I tried this. Not sure if it works 100% but we'll see. MIUI ram management no good, hopefully they fix it with software updates.

Allow the app to autostart
