Almost done but stuck at miflash not able to detect my phone

I guess that you might have missed the step or not doing it right of installing the needed Qualcomm driver before your PC can detect your RN3 as a:

"Qualcomm 9500 (or 9800) driver..." in the Port section of the Device Manager in your PC. :s22:

If you have done that properly, then check to make sure you have dowloaded the latest MiFlash and that your RN3 must be in EDL mode indicated by a Blank Screen with blinking Red LED light!

Read through the guide one more time to see if you have missed any steps or missed any mandatory selection in MiFlash!

Then, you must still choose to update manually by browsing to the folder that contents the Qualcomm driver that you have just downloaded from tthe given link.

I'm taking about updating the driver in the "Other Device - QHSUS_BULK." section under the Device Manager to Qualcomm driver!

Initially i saw it as "QHSUS_BULK" but while i reading the guide, I think my windows auto download latest driver n updated to "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008"

In any case I still manually update the driver n point to miflash folder but they prompted that my driver is updated, no need to update

I see.

Make sure you installed your MiFlash in C drive or default location during installation.

Make sure your extracted your Fastboot rom into C drive as well and no space in the folder name of the Fastboot rom likes this (My screen shot is Mi Max rom).

BTW, didn't you disabled windows driver signature verification before you start anything?

I am able to use fastboot method to flash stable global rom of miui 8 5.1 jellybean to developer global rom muiu 8 6.0.1 marshmallow 6.9.15 kenzo image fastboot version without wipe any data all setting retained.

You need to extract the tar file once downloaded like using winrar, then use winrar open up the one big file that is extracted from tar into a folder, then you will see some bat and image files there.

then download miflash utility, launch it. Put redmi note 3 pro into fast boot by pressing the vol up button first and hold it, then press power button to power up the phone, release the power button to see fast boot logo then release the vol up button. Plug in the usb cable connect from your phone to pc.

At the xiaomiflash program, click reflash button, you should see a device detected, click select button, browse the folder location which you extracted that you see some bat and images file then click ok. Select at the bottom right dropbox arrow flash_all_except_data.bat and click flash button at the top right. Wait for the device to boot may take 20 to 30 mins to completed flashing.

I have two sim card, one micro sim starhub and one nano sim singtel. Have tried both support 3G dual standby at same time. But if internet select starhub can go 4G, if internet select singtel only 3G so tomorrow I try other place at my office if singtel can go 4G internet selected. Tried to remove and put only one micro sim card singtel with microsd memory card still also 3G internet now at my home. Most dual sim phone only support one 2G sim and one sim to be 4G as internet selected since next year april 1 all three telco will switch off 2G network permanently.

But you need to backup data first as if you use fastboot mode any important losses not my problem.

Then try fly gps mock location using facebook, play pokemom go as marshmallow should support fake location as jelly bean not working well.

One last thing.

Let's say a new feature in developer ROM screws up somethings, will there be a update to patch it or will they just let it run through then in time the they will just remove that feature in the stable rom?

Yes! You are right. You can choose that bat option of one doesn't want a totally clean and wipe out from ground zero. :)

Why don't you disable the Windows driver signature (permanent method). Reboot your pc and start all over again?

No harm give it a try since you are neither here or there now.

Finally my Singtel can connect to 4G. I do not know what causing the issue. Only sim 1 can go 4g as sim 2 cannot. But sim 1 and 2 have same imei number could be hardware issue or maybe beta rom bug? I saw the mi community forum about this beta rom already over 100 pages of replies as yesterday the topic started for this rom release to download. I see only red mi note 3 pro have marshmallow but a bit older device like red mi note 3 do not have, redmi note 2 and mi4 have 5.0 jellybean version on this rom.
