If I get the 2GB/16GB version, can I flash to global ROM using the ROM files on the Xiaomi website? The Xiaomi website has no distinction between 3GB/32GB and 2GB/16GB (unlike the Xiaomi Max which differentiates between the different capacities)

It should not be an issue. I got the export set of 2GB/16GB and flashed to latest official ROM. Now waiting for marshmellow version to be released.

Go for Note 4. Already MM. Note 4 nicer. MTK chip isn't that bad. Performance comparable to SD.

confirmed working on xiaomi developer rom. flashed to qualcomm AOSP MM yesterday and also 4G+3G. Prefer this to Miui...

Both slots support up to 4G. But only 1 slot can be used for data at any one point of time.

ah no issues, since i only have 1 sim card for data and another for calls and msg. so long another slots is 3g can already, else if drop to 2g no call or msg GG T=T

I use DIGI clock widget. Don't see difference in battery consumption probably because the battery life is too good to be affected by a little widget.

Yes can. Mi max have different firmware due to the different CPU inside (650 and 652).
