After updating to 8.1.1, DND mode now goes haywire. Interrupted my sleep when it vibrated. If on Silent mode and DND at the same time, its as good as no DND. Must on got Sound mode + DND then it is DND. Very lehceh like this.

Also, the minimum brightness has been increased alot. Which is bad, its too bright for me when i off my lights.

Recommend you to make local backup on sd card, factory reset then restore from your backup.

i managed to unlock officially / root supersu and flash custom miui eu rom.

managed to flash cm13 after unlocking it unofficially. Followed this thread:

i also tempted to go CM but i read volte and fingerprint *might* not be working. also read my kate varients have different fingerprint hardware hence might not work out of the box after flashing...

will try miui for 1 month - if really very jialet, will jump to Resurrection Remix or pure CM.

Other than video recording does not work with this rom, so far everything look good to me, GPS is fast (1st fix within 10 - 15 seconds), finger print, VOLTE etc all work, rom is smooth..

Sorry can i understand is your bootloader unlocked officially? I have just flashed CM13, because CM14 failed because of Volte (whats that? I couldnt hear or convey my voice - is that what it seems?)

1: You can unlock officially (via Mi apps) or unofficially (as what i did).
2: Since you can flash CM13, your bootloader is unlocked. you should be able to flash CM14 or whatever.
I did a clean flash CM14.1, after that I clean flashed again R.R, one can also directly flash R.R without any CM13 or Cm14 as long as you have TWRP properly installed.

by the way, after flashing, do remember to flash superSU via twrp. so that it is properly rooted.
then via twrp install Android apps, i install the Pico version 7.1 version (just for android play store).

Thanks! Do you have any guide (links etc)? VoLTE - does it mean when you are talking to someone over the phone, the LTE remains? Mine changed to 3G

As far as i know, many CM13,14 Roms (majority) are NOT VOLTE and finger print support,
I tried a few roms, so far this "Shantoshs" support VOLTE and finger print.

In your case, if it switch to 3G or H+, from LTE or 4G while calling, most likely this Rom does not support

OR

you may try to change the Preferred network type to LTE in the setting page (SiM 1 or SIM2).

I don't see the VOLTE icon on note 3 like my v20 though. So I guess it's not supported?? Using same SIM.

That's what i thought so too. Seems like all xm phones does not support volte in sg.
