hi guys, i can't make any calls or send sms using my normal pre-paid SIM card. it used to work in the past. the data plan sim card is working, however (this means, i can surf web and whatsapp, but cannot make calls or sms).

when i try to even use the check enquiry of balance in prepaid card, it says "request failed", meaning it can't even dial to Starhub. any advice?

i'm using the HK version where it has 2 SIM card slot btw.
i run some tests and it can detect both SIM cards, but not sure why calls and sms doesn't work.

My Redmi Note 4G USB port suddenly got burned yesterday. I only gotten this phone on Feb this year. I brought the phone to service centre for repair but they said it's chargeable. Anyone has a spoil Redmi Note 4G so that I can replace the lower USB board myself? Or know any places where I can source for it? I am really desperate. Thanks.

From Xiaomi SG since I got the set from SingTel. It is not covered under warranty since the 2 white stickers become red indicating water spillage.

Am using HM NOTE 1S CU (note 4g dual sim (gucci)) with MIUI is 7.0.2.0 (KHKCNCI) and with MI recovery 2.0.1. I would like to root the phone (hate and want to remove the china apps or install custom ROM like CM).
I have tried
~ using updater/mi recovery to downgrade to MIUI 6 root enabled ROM and many other ROMs
~ using fastboot method to install philz touch recovery
~ using MiFlash to downgrade to MIUI 6.5.3

But all unsuccessful, still stuck with mi recovery and MIUI 7. Looking for kind ppl here to help me. Willing to pay token but must show/teach me...

I changed my Xiaomi Note 3G USB port in one of the HP repair shop in Chong Pang Yishun. $35. 30min job.

i got 2 issue with my redmi note 4g. Set is 1yr old bought from MI SG.

1) Push notifications not working. Had turn on for some apps but it seems like it does not get any push notifications.

2) Fast batt drained. Previously i had my phone left it overnight and turn off everything and it only drop mayb 3-5% but recently it gone totally flat in the morning when i still left 30% left.

Anyone encounter the a/m issues also ?

i've the same issue with push notitifcations. had to manually open the app then close it then it will receive.

Came across MoKee ROM (based on Android 8.1 for nightly and 7.1 for release), any comments on this particular ROM? There isn’t an official LineageOS ROM for this phone, mostly are unofficial ones, which does worry me a bit. TIA!

LineageOS is pretty stable even if it's "unofficial". Most other ROMs are spin offs from LineageOS anyway.
