Are you sure about that? The Redmi Note 5 Pro released for India is also running on global rom.

Again, don't get confused btw model and rom type. Redmi Note 5 AI Dual Camera is released in several countries including China.

For China, the units come preloaded with China rom and countries like HK and SEA, they are preloaded with global rom.

If you are lucky, supplier may bring in stock meant for China market but flashed it to global ROM.

If Univercell is selling the Global Version, that will be the AI Dual Camera variant.

Hiaz why ppl now still scare to get Indian sets? So far no Indian sets in singapore.. They are white outer box with colored photo of note 5.if u get red box is confirmed AI version. If box got"global" sticker mean global rom.

My understanding is Redmi Note 5 AI Dual Camera comes with 13MP front camera while Redmi Note 5 Pro comes with 20MP front camera.

This is based on specification published as I cannot see what's the colour of the box as it is not shown online by the shop.

She just tell me it is covered. I asked why the support can't just reply me via email, she only said previously (for older models) they don't cover.
