I haven't really test the camera, hee, just got it today. The lake blue one I got is so beautiful

Also, it comes with Oreo and MIUI 9.5 out of the box.

What I have tested so far:

1. It does support QC.....I reckon 2.0? I used my Anker QC 3.0 charger with compatible cable but it was going only at about an average of 1% per min. Having said that, the battery life is good

2. The on-screen home button can be configured to press and hold to turn off screen. Think Moto Z Play.

3. The rear cam quality loses to my Mate 10 Pro (but of coz) but it still pumps out decent quality

4. The notification LED is only available in white color, can't be changed seemingly.

Hi all I have updated the 1st post for more comparison info between India and China Version.

additional info for china version :

Redmi Note 5 China Supports Dual 4G stand-by while Redmi Note 5 Pro doesn't. In addition, Redmi Note 5 Pro only supports VoLTE in one SIM at a time unlike Dual VoLTE can be used Simultaneously in Redmi Note 5 China.

Note: Dual VoLTE in Redmi Note 5 China means VoLTE are supports on both SIM but not at same time. Snapdragon X12 modem of Snapdragon 636 doesn't support Dual VoLTE on dual SIMs, only Snapdragon X24 modem and X20 (Snapdragon 845) has this feature. Hence, when both SIMs are used in Redmi Note 5 China, one SIM supports VoLTE, the other one doesn't, it can used simultaneously since Dual 4G standby supported.

My Redmi Note 5 (China) is a hybrid sim tray, no dedicated microSD slot. Hope that helps

Lei Jun states Qc 3.0. 1% a min is not bad considering the 4000mah battery. thats 40% in 30min for a 3000mah battery if u convert the mah/min.

I think the 4GB+64GB is the best choice for Redmi Note 5 China.

6GB+64GB is a little way too pricey(can get the superior Mi Note 3 as you said), while the memory of 3GB+32GB could be limited unless using it as a spare phone.
