I tested note 5 camera (miui and gcam) against s9+, P20 pro and oppo r15 at challenger. Results are positive! Using gcam, you may not be able to tell apart which phones took which picture.

My wife's RMN4 charging port got problem, cannot charge. So bo bian, have to buy a new phone for her.

Went down to JTBC, got only 3GB/32GB Gold left & 6GB/64GB. Wife says Gold colour ok, so on the spot bought on Qoo10 & collect on the spot.

Paid $239. Less $4 off for 2 x $100 Qoo voucher, is $235.

Once power up the phone and got PlayStore and some basic Google Apps installed already.

How much is a 6/64 model ?

Anyone managed to get the blue or rose gold color (global version, 4/64 model) ?

Seems very hard to get these 2 colors, only have black and/or gold available here at most of the times.

Can't be they only export black and gold nia for our sinkieland bah ?

This RN5 cam really gives a good solid money run for all these flagships cams.

And to think this RN5 is way far from a flagship category and only cost a fraction of those flagships price.

No wonder S9 is not selling well (here). This could be one of the reasons.

quite surprise the camera turn out quite good, last xiaomi i used was note2 and this note5 seem to be good main phone

I think most ppl would stick to the good 'ol samsuck and ifong for their main phone.

They will only get XM and other cheapo Tiong phones as their spare/secondary 2nd, 3rd etc phones.

Haiz, even with windows 10 i am unable to unlock bootloader.

Keep getting stuck at 99% on the 2nd accoun

Same for me, sometimes the bootloader keep dc also, I unlock until dulan, at last I give up liao. Never had this problem before when I unlock Redmi note 4X.

No wonder S9 is not selling well (here). This could be one of the reasons.

Once Xiaomi and other budget Android phone manufacturers improves the camera quality, it will narrow the gap between them and flagship models.

It is very difficult for flagship models to improve by a lot. But for Xiaomi and the rest, it is easier.

My prediction is that those flagship models will lose it's shine as time goes on.

Most likely no. very troublesome to unlock and flash for retailers
