Is this Redmi Note 5 full Netcom 3.0 ? meaning it can handle SIM1 4G and SIM2 3G at the same time

rn5 is a very good balanced budget phone. easily the best phone available in its price range. cameras are good in daylight but quite potato at low light.
SuperSU disables google safety net afaik. use magisk to root if you intend on using banking apps.

I cant decide whether to get this or oneplus 6.

Note 5 cost only $300 ish while oneplus 6 $800++. With the exception of the sd636, i think the note 5 is better. It has bigger camera sensor and 4000mAh battery. I can flash custom roms like RR and lineage and install google camera and get that stock android experience.

But oneplus 6 got dash charging and nicer bezel less display hmmmmm....is it worth for that extra $500??

You're gonna get a biased response here :p

Personally I prefer the redmi note, got my 4gb set for 279 (without vouchers yet), I just couldn't justify the cost of the oneplus. Maybe the amoled screen is worth it for you?

I feel that oneplus has deviated too far from it's original model of flagship specs/hardware at budget prices, and it's not worth it to me. For a price of a oneplus 6 i can get 2 (maybe even 3) redmi phones, and upgrade every year.

Haha yea i understand, this is note 5 forum.

Right nw the cheapest i can get for 4gb/64gb is $309 at qoo10. Hmmm i think the screen also matters for me. No concrete reasons, just for the ecstatic i guess haha. Note 5 using lcd. And i really like the notch. I only hope oneplus 6 will have google camera in the future. Now its still new, so nt much development yet.

U can flash custom roms on one plus too.. but it's not necessary because oxygen os is very good by itself and people usually flash kernel for tweaking. Support on oxygen os is more freq as well..

The screen is v v good. Even OnePlus 3T screen is vastly superior to redmi note 5 and I'm sure the camera will be as well, especially if u r sticking to oxygen os.

However the flagship phone has increased dramatically in price over the years.. And it's not easy to compare the phone to redmi note 5 as the two belonged to very different cat of phone..

u missed the train... some even got it at 270.. the lowest for 64/4gb is 270 , 32gb/3gb is $204. That is after coupon and gift card rebates..and not minus q points etc..;)

at $200 for 32gb/3gb is no brainer... can support 200gb and 128gb microsd... i tried already.
