thats volte. most xiaomi phones are not officially volte supported in singapore. Some are able to hack it into working but the default settings wont work.

my notification don't always pop out, whatsapp and line. need open then update. my previous note 4x was fine. even after offing miui optimisaiton also same effect

Just realised (moi abit noob here) the 6GB ram edition is only for the Tiong set (red box, non-global version). Not sure tho for the Indian model if it carries 6GB ram edition too.

So for those aiming the 6GB ram variant, do be caution. Unless you dun mind Tiong set. Those ordering online eg. q10, lazada etc look carefully first dun just suka suka take the 6GB option.

Yup, that's the correct one to get if chiu dun want a "Tiong Version".

I din bought the 6GB.

Lucky I did some googling and asking around homework first.

Think the current cheapest for 4GB is ard $270 - 300.

For 6GB think ard $350 ba.

Just moi guess nia.

Beside they know how to post rubbish, they won't be bothered with SG market. Even Philippines has been dead, but Redmi Note 5 make it alive back. They have been dead after Mi 4i times till recently it started to be alive.

I think maybe soon they will launch the RN5 here officially.

Saw on their websai and MI Store at Bedok they already selling the Redmi 5/Redmi 5 Plus.

Hi guys, i just gotten my hands on a Redmi Note 5 32gb. want to try it out. try the new chipset whether can play games smoothly

unfortunately i can't even install apps like critical ops and PES 2018. after about some varying percentage of downloading, it just stopped.

i can install smaller files like WhatsApp and so on though.

hope can get some guidance from the gurus here.

I did it myself all the way from binding phone to account, install Mi Unlock for unlocking bootloader, download and use MiFlash to install WHYRED 9.2.7 Global rom, unlock bootloader again, update to global 9.5.6 rom. This was my first time and took quite awhile to research how it was done properly. Luckily still succeeded though all files lost without backup

Correct, 6G ram is the chinese set, with Miui 9 chinese rom, and no google play installed. You have to install the google play yourself, or try to see whether the global rom can flash into it.

Why install WHYRED 9.2.7 Global rom first? I thought we have to downgrade our latest China rom V9.5.14.0 to V9.5.4.0 first before upgrading to the latest Global rom?

Edit: Oh I think I get it....coz you have to downgrade to 1. Global Rom AND 2. an older version as well first before you can upgrade to the latest Global Rom
