it's strange that xiaomi stopped selling the note.

not only in SG, but all other countries too.

maybe new note2 is coming already.

is the current note still in 4.2?
do local telco carry it w/o contract?
Yes, it's still on 4.2.2, but a Kitkat update for it will be coming around the end of 2014 with MIUI 6 too.

Local telcos do carry it without contract but with prepaid bundle, but depends on stock though. :)

No leh, Malaysia still selling Redmi Note and it's available anytime.
Redmi Note 4G could be in the preparation to be launched since it has been approved by IDA. :)

Note 4g available on groupon.sg...

4g note no dual sim?
that is extremely suspicious

has the FDD-LTE/global version been released yet?

that could very well be the china version, TD-LTE that can't use our local 3g/4g

the sim lim shops have done that before

yep, buyer beware

not really a fan for these discount sites; sometimes not easy to know the actual biz behind the listing

Yes, the FDD-LTE version for Redmi Note 4G has been launched and released in China.

(Look out for the “联通版”, which their 4G network also supports SG's 4G network)

But still, you don't know whether it's authentic or fake. Better wait for Xiaomi to launched it in SG but could be a little long wait.

Either they mass buy from xiaomi's sale or sell fakes. To the vast majority, they won't even know it's fake. Lots of unethical sellers doing that. :(

Had a friend whom worked in 1 of those online deals company. From what i heard, most of their gadgets / apparels are parallel imports by external companies. In this case, most probably china units imported. Authentic or no, we wont know for sure.

I solved this myself. You can try if you want.

Remove battery and place phone on dashboard of car under hot sun for one hour. It will get damn freaking hot. Use pressure to squeeze all the areas where there is a yellow spot. Imagine you are pushing the yellow spots to the sides.

I did this and it worked. This was after reading feedback about the OnePlusOne having this issue too due to insufficient curing time.

You can send it to the service center. They will claim that they are changing the screen but in actual fact they are using UV to do the same. Why I suspect so is because I went to them but got the same yellow spots at the exact same places after, just more faint.

Everything from Xiaomi has tons of fakes...assume they are unless sold by Xiaomi themselves

Does xiaomi note support S-view flip cover similar like samsung note?
