Came across this review, for those who can understand Chinese this is a pretty comprehensive comparison between the Redmi Note and the Honour 3X

As long as you do not buy yourself on the only online store, any xiaomi you buy from "parallel importers" is at your own risks.

Everyone can claim that it is REAL, but when someone found out the truth and say its fake and ask for refund, then these merchant will just LAN LAN take back the units and give you back the money.

Read the thread on the fake REDMI sold by so called REAL REDMI merchant in Sim Lim Square cum QOO10 and you will know.

Still want to take the risks?

I'm currently still using Note1, how much would Redmi Note be of an improvement over Note1?

Redmi Note is better to be compared to Note 2 than Note 1 actually. But yeah, it is much better than Note 1.

LOL. $300 Redmi Note anyone?

"REDMI NOTE PLUS. its not a normal version of redmi, my one is redmi note plus. Come with 2 sim card slot and eight core processor, 5.5 inch screen. also free 3 case and two screen protectors.
Normal redmi note only 1.4G cpu and 1G ram. Redmi note plus is 1.7G cpu and 2G ram."

Redmi Note (an MTK Octo core...approx Snapdragon 400/600 best case) vs Note 1 is a dual core.
Redmi note weights heavier than Note 1 (by spec)

I ran quadrant on my note 2 and the chart shows the redmi note is much much faster

Note 2 screen response is really bad

Lol. I'm guessing you mean what the seller state when he said normal version is 1.4ghz and 1GB ram? If so, it's because that is indeed the normal version. But there is an enhanced version with 1.7 and 2GB as well and for Singapore market, the enhanced version is the only one sold here.

I'm just sharing it because i found it hilarious. I'm not the one who posted. If you want you can go gumtree to find that seller and ask him yourself to verify. :s13:

From video reviews I've seen it's probably better than the 400 in terms of performance, but loses to the 600 (scores lower compared to HTC One). Though not so sure about power efficiency. According to review by Sidney from HWZ, power efficiency is not that great. Hopefully it's just a matter of software optimisation.
