Go to miui English forum. Find the thread with guide to flashing Note W. Inside there for WCDMA there is an AOSP ROM. Flash it and remove all the Baidu apps. Also remember to flash gapps.

Guess it is location issue, rather than phone problem.

Tap on the Google search bar, go to "Setting", make sure "Google Now" is on, click on "Voice" then change the language to any other language then change back to the one you using and the blank icon will be gone.

Notification Light

Can someone explain how the 'Notification light' works in standby/sleep mode.

Is the LED will turned-on when there are incoming messages such as BBM/WhatsApp/SMS ?

If so, how long the light will turned-on, just a few minutes and fade away or until we wake up the phone ?

when got the msg receive it will turn on and pulse
