Anybody looking for redmi note?

I think those who wanted it probably already bought it and those who still hoping to buy are waiting for this Saturday's big sale. There are others who just got them off the shelves at Singtel Shop.

I experienced this error of windows 7 cannot install usb drivers for my note. There is this 'T8850' detected by windows and it cant find any driver. Anybody has similar issue?

I went to Google for some solutions. They suggested install them manually, but failed after I tried them.

Thanks a lot for any input to this.

anyone experience redmi note suddenly lost all battery juice?

it happened twice since bought, the symptom is:
the phone still have 30+% charge at last check;
after a few hours, the phone is automatically powered off.
put back to charger shows the battery is flat.

confirmed there is nothing running at the background.
it looks to me more like a battery calibration issue ? (i.e. the displayed percentage is off compare to actual battery left)

could be the battery not fully calibrated. try this, off the phone and plug in charger until it charges to 100% den off the plug and switch on the phone.

DL Battery monitor widget by 3C from playstore and monitor from there.

else if still flat off den battery is spoil and if you bought from Xiaomi should be no issue changing/replacement as battery warranty is 6 month from point of sale and Note is just 1 month plus

will u be worried? :s11:

Singapore Law Watch - Xiaomi under probe over alleged privacy breach

I received a call from china last week from my note - "你会说华语吗?“
I just hang up...

But I also received such call with my iPhone 5 previously.....

I think it is just coincidental. I did not receive any calls from china on my Redmi Note but I did receive on my iPhone 5 too.

If you ask me, I would think that the china cold calling has always been there, they will just randomly pick a number to call to get you to part with your money one way or another.

In SG, we have the Do Not Call Registry and probably almost all of us have signed up for that so our phones are typically quieter than before. So most undesired phone calls with be from outside our boundary.

Unless the caller can tell you your name and details which you only reveal to Xiaomi or store on their database, you should not be worried about it. I just take what I read about this with a pinch of salt.

I ordered on the 8th and initially tracking put delivering on 13th which is today. Then when I check again, it changed to N/A. :(
Same here. Ordered on 5 Aug and Xiaomi shipped it out on 8 Aug. Arrived in Singapore on 9 Aug. FedEx initially said it will be delivered by 13 Aug before 12pm and it now states as "N/A". Sigh.

wow i feel special, I've had calls from Ireland and I was wondering why. What's China's country code? Glad I'm not the only one.

I'm pretty annoyed with the UPS delivery, still no news, do they call before delivery? I think the mi website should change their delivery to 1-2 weeks instead of 5-7 days.
