did u enable limiting downloads to only when connected to wifi?

disable that in google play settings to dl on your mobile network

Hi, is the redmi data graph suppose to be showing in 2 hour blocks? Because mine is showing in 2 hour blocks.

I got the note. It is at least 2 times longer battery than S3 and charge noticeably faster.

The other thing to note is the audio quality is worst than S3 and not as loud as it is in terms of headset volume. Not a good thing.

Last thing, I had to get it root straight after update. Spent 2.5 hours just to get the basic things right back to my previous phone status. USB Driver took 1.5 hours or more just to get things working. Aka no proper guide on this...

Overall I'm still testing it out. But the fact the battery life is longer than S3 already wins 2 points.

in any case, my major beef would be with miui. don't really like its simplified interface; i prefer stock android (or something close)

ya some formats cannot be played by the native video player

like .mkv

can dl the VLC player and it's good

Go to Setting>Headphones. Change to control music playback.

Upgraded from v23 to v30 yesterday using the wcdma zip file. Interface seems cleaner and better. Thou chrome had issue launching, but re-install it then problem solve.

Unable to access play store for around 30mins. Everything went back to normal liao. Rooted the note but un-sure what can i do with it since i've been a iOS user. Any advice?

rooting? not much unless you're looking to run game hacking apps. there's less point in rooting to change the interface since miui is quite customisable (themes, etc)

i keep my root disabled most of the time, in case i accidentally allow stray programs to use root functions
