Hi. Anyone managed to setup the xiaomi router 2 (1TB) with the xiaomi camera? And the camera record to the router hard disk?
Will the recording still work without internet connection?

I think can work. Since M1 fibre dun use VLAN tagging. But do note only the one that can HDD built in has 10/100/1000 WAN port. The rest only 10/100.

Are you referring to xiaomi router HD? Confirm that the model pro only has 10/100 ports?

yes, by connect the lan port of tp-link to the lan port (note: not WAN port ) of mi router. You need to disable dhcp of mi router too.

dunno, I upgraded from the free tplink from "somwhere"
cpu is faster then asus, but not sure how relevant izzit. also this only have 3 ports. software also very limited options. the usb can only be use for hdd, cant use to share printer

my speedtest with the old tplink also around this speed. I suspect the new speedtest website got problem (used to be able to get 900+ with the flash version)

Anyone know if i bought the xiaomi router HD, and connected it to my house network, can i just use my Samsung Smart TV or LG Smart TV that with DLNA supported to access those video under "Source" from TV?

I'm using MR so I ordered a r3p. Specs look good except there's only 3 gigabit LAN ports which is good enough for me. The design is impressive and supports MU-MIMO which will deliver better performance for newer devices which support it.

just wondering if the mitv assistant plugin/samba works fine with the auto preview posters & online subtitles features for storage drive attached to router via usb (i.e LAN usb drive).

Last i've checked, xiaomi have removed the supports on newer firmwares for Xiaomi Mini router & limited to xiaomi routers with inbuilt HDD. (thus i had to rolled back older firmware)

One thing good about this pro router is that the VPN client (pity no server) actually works. I can connect to my friend's HK VPN and watch mytv super on my Ipad which is currently on iOS 10 and no more PPTP support..

The only thing is that the miwifi android app doesn't seem to be very reliable when trying to connect to the router. And edge seems to be more compatible with the router setup page as I get timeouts sometimes if I navigate using chrome

Sharing my answer to my query as i have bought the HD router , everything works fine

WiFi range is splendid too, fixed all the dead zones in toilets beyond 2-3walls

only issue is the inbuilt 迅雷plugin, seems like current latest firmware there's a bug for torrent download

Ok.. do I need to reformat the HDD first? Or can I just plug it in?
My HDD is not a MAC formatted HDD
