For zero1, can I port the number in future?

I am thinking of porting a StarHub Mobile Broadband to Zero1 1GB < Unlimited.

If porting fails, can I continue to use whatever number I am issued by Zero1 without canceling the service?

Since StarHub stop the $14.93 offer for MaxMobile Lite 6GB, might as well port to Zero1 and I can even save $1.03 every month.
