no..i just sign up last week with StarHub .if u want use cis plan which free caller ID den there is no free 5GB per month for 12months mean only got 6GB plus unlimited weekend..so lan lan just sign up without cis plan ..

I was following this thread for a while . Thinking whether to sign up for the 9.90 plan. Since a lot of people say different opinion, I decided to test myself.

So results are such.

0-1 GB - full 4G speed.
1-3 GB - 1 Mbps
3-5 GB - 0.75 - 0.8 Mbps
> 5 GB - 0.5 Mbps

But even after 5 GB its still bearable. Much better than myrepublic. zero 1 is very much usable with for light users like me.

Don't expect Instagram to load fast. There is still buffering. Facebook seems ok. Graphic heavy website is a bit laggy.

Overall you get what u paid for.


I still think 24$ starhub plan with 11GB plus free weekend data is more worth it with CIS plan.


If it helps anyone to make a decision. If you still doubt do try it yourself.

You can get 13gb data with M1 if you have NTUC membership for $22.50 per mth, including caller ID.

Ya. That 5gb and cis are mutually exclusive. Cant join both together. But during the weekend that just pass, sign up online will get $5 bill rebate for 6 months. Good deal la.

Don't think so. I just recontracted CIS, and the additional 5GB for 12mths is included. So total is base 3GB + FREE data jump 3GB + 5GB 12mth contract. Free callerid.

Who do for you? Read the t&c. Both are mutually exclusive.

Does Zero1 support VPN? Traffic couldn't be routed every time I connected to VPN

They seem to block VPN on port 53.

Standard VPN ports are usable.

roaming service or roaming data...?? if u don't have roaming u should not receive anything and your phone should register no network available...

but if you have roaming but no roaming data... you still CAN receive SMS...

BUT... incoming SMS is free... even for overseas... unless you SENT sms while u were roaming... or maybe some app u using sent them... then outgoing global SMS are chargeable...

If its ios, then could be iMessage sending that sms. If its not then I cant think of any.

They didn't block DNS. Just the outgoing connections which prevents using VPN on that port.
