Effectively, you're only pay $7.50 for 5G access per month in a year which is even cheaper than eight's 4G base plan.
does zero1 allow you to answer a SG call free when you are overseas? does it also allow you to call back free to SG when you are overseas?

I think currently only eight and simba has these features.

There are basically 3 ways roaming voice call are handled :

1) Free : only Simba & eight

2) Pay per use - you pay through the roof to answer a call :
All MNO except Simba,
Singtel based MVNO that are not directly owned by Singtel,
Starhub based MVNO that are not directly owned by Starhub
Circle.Life

If you do not intend to answer & pay for incoming calls while roaming using this group of providers, recommend enabling redirect ALL calls to another number that can either answer for free or can ring without concern.

3) Roaming calls are blocked, there is no option to receive a roaming call :
MVNO owned direct by Traffic light telco (except eight) - Gomo/Heya, Giga,Maxx,
Changi Mobile & Geenet.

Gomo FAQ did mentioned that (pay per use ?) roaming on 3G is still available, it is unclear if that applies to Heya/Giga/Maxx.

Do read up the TnCs first…

Free months are not applicable for Singtel, Singtel-brands (GOMO and Heya) and MVNOs using Singtel’s network (Zym, Vivifi and CMLink) port-in.
Thanks bro. It's a minefield for switchers of SIM only plans.

You need to port to non ST MVNOs first then port back to enjoy the free 6 months promo. Take note that current promo for ST MVNOs ends in end Oct. Unless they extend (so far they do), You won’t be able to enjoy the promo. Also take note some non ST MVNOs that if you port out to have a minimum subscription period. So my advice is read the TnCs first.

One of them mention this is the last extension. Whether that is true we shall see.

Damn sad if it is true. Maybe hope for new promos once the dust settles on transition to SA.
Can't find that reference anymore, not sure if they remove it or I wasn't looking at the right place.

Anyway I found that the free 6 months seems to be implemented somewhat differently :
Vivifi : Pay first 6 bills. But is initial payment is included in this 6 bills ? Next 6 bills is free.
Zym : Prorate 1st month is counted as a month, pay full month 2-6, then 7-12 month is free.
Zero1 : pay first 6 months, but did not say how is initial payment counted into that.

Zym's way of calculation would be the best, but many also affected by the 12 month ban.

hi folks, how is Zero1's 5G performance as compared to Zym?

So far, Zym has been speedy and so-far-so-reliable. Just wondering if it is the same for Zero1 because it offers eSiM but Zym doesn't.

Thanks in advance!
