Haha mainly cos I cheapskate! Initially shortlisted a few clinics(including SNEC) but a friend's friend has referral discount so I hopped on the wagon since the prices of all these clinics are about the same. Why not spore national eye centre?
Woah your recovery is really long! Isit cos you did Epi Lasik? Mine is the bladeless one and heard that it should be fully recovered in a few days time that's why I am quite paranoid about it lor.I did the lasik @ EEC too, 5 months since my op
I only can say that 1st 3 months will be filled with ups and downs. There are days you will be wow by the clear vision and there will be days you will be panicking as the vision blur badly.
Give it time. I took about 3-4 mths to stabilise. During the first 3 months I made alot of last minute "emergency" appointments as I got panicked due to the blur vision suddenly.
Reasons back then were:
- Dry eyes
- side effects of the steroid drops
- allergic to steroid drop that caused the eye pressure to increase TREMENDOUSLY
So although i can say give it time, but don't brush it aside if you feel its not right. Only you yourself knows.

Thanks and I really appreciate the advice!
actually the stinging feeling is normal. its supposed to have that.
i apologise for the wrong choice of word, maybe shouldnt call it allergic reaction but side effects? the steroid drops can cause high pressure in the eye for some people, that includes me. so for my case, the vision gets more blurry as i continue using it. if you are feeling ok then you should be fine

This is unusual...Haha mainly cos I cheapskate! Initially shortlisted a few clinics(including SNEC) but a friend's friend has referral discount so I hopped on the wagon since the prices of all these clinics are about the same.
Meanwhile, a few other friends also told me that their eyes were not corrected well after the surgery but I thought like maybe they were just unlucky as there are quite a number of good reviews i saw online.
Only after I paid the bills post lasik and looked at the receipt then realised that they gave me a discount but jacked up the prices of other stuff cos the price I paid is almost the same as the net price they offer in their price book.
So abit sian lor...
Serious? IDK how much it'll differ, but here's my cost breakdown:This is unusual...
my referral discount stretches to the consultation with Dr, 50% off every time for consultation fees.
Ahh I see I see, hopefully that's the case for me too in a few monthsNope. Not Epi, I did the bladeless lasik too. FEMTO.
Not possible to recover in days. Fastest also 2-3 months, with some people takes up to a year or longer to really stabilise
This kind usually you will hear the standard "defense statement":just now news reported lasik ops increase 20% and 1 of the doctors interviewed was wearing spec![]()
Seems not normal....Hi all, I recently did my bladeless lasik and cross-linking at EEC by Julian Theng. It has been 12 days since and so far there has been lots of fluctuations. My main concern however is this stinging pain in my right eye since day 8.
Day 1: immediately post op, vision is blurry, likely due to the bandage lens. However it clears up almost immediately after eye drops.
Day 2: vision started clearing up after the lens was removed during review.
Day 3-7: gradual improvements everyday, but everyday I woke up feeling some sort of discomfort. Just felt like something wasn't set in place comfortably. Also had a review with Dr Val Phua who assured me all is fine.
Day 8: applied tobradex along with timolol the night before as instructed and woke up with a stinging sharp pain in my right eye and blurry vision.
Day 9: panicked and went back for consultation due to the pain and inconsistent vision. Again, Dr Val said all was fine, but to revert to my initial post op set of antibiotics and anti-inflammatory eye drops since my eyes seemed to react strongly to tobradex.
Day 10-12: woke up with slightly milder pain in right eye everyday. Vision is very inconsistent with my right eye. Sometimes it's extremely sharp, sometimes it's blur af and it feels like I have mild myopia. The pain is still there and it's bothering me a lot.
Judging from a lot of the comments, I guess this is normal? I just need some reassurance as I have been using glasses since I was 4 for 24 years and I jumped in without much research. Now I'm panicking badly over the inconsistent acuity. Should all these issues be clearing up within a few months?
