Can you type your firmware version ?
Is V8-T615T01-LF1V0xx
or
V8-T615T01-LF1Mxxx
?

Edit:
I am glad you didn't choose C825 JAPAN market version, as hardware and firmware is as P725 / C725.
And on Android 9, HDMI x3, 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM, old RT51M Platform.
They have problems with Netflix,Disney+ ,Nvidia shield pro over hdmi cannot play Dolby Vision content. etc....
Is it V8-T615T01-LF1M103

I really don't know, except security patch date = 2021-03-05.
So, keep on M103.
What is date of firmware (kernel) ?
Kernel stated

4.19.116+
#1 Mon Apr 12 04:30:37 CST 2021

The only issue i have now i that i skipped TCL account registration upon first bootup. Now Google Home is not fully setup because it stuck on TCL login page (no skip option). Its fine with fast bootup but everytime I cut the power, it will ask to login Google Home again (since it is not completed initially).

Best thing I can do now is wait for my bluetooth remote and reset the tv also create a tcl account beforehand to complete the initial setup smoothly.

Will update here and thank you so much Stasio

Is it possible to use handphone as a remote to on the tv?

I could only control the tv using the tcl mobile app once it is already switch on using the power button on the remote control.

Did they indicate which seller is this from? That is indeed not the power consumption of the TCL C825 55". Based on the official TCL website a 55" C825 will consume 250 watts. The sets from that carouseller seems very sketchy indeed and they might not even have Mini LEDs or a full array local dimming system inside which explains the lower 125 watts power consumption.
@Kepller

was referring to this power consumption, which is much lower than other C825 in ither markets rated at 250-300W

Oh I thought you were referring to the quoted image. Yes if its coming from the importers (Daily Basic, TV Promotion and the other new one on Shopee) there has been reports here that they received incorrect units which does not feature the same spec as a genuine C825. So its a heavy risk and the temptation/lure is the huge savings.

Hi there, this is my first post here since I've just purchased 55" R646 from Dailybasis. Initially ordered C825 but seller did mention its Japan spec then I ran into this thread and read all the hardware mismatch. I changed the night before delivery and seller helped me through the changes.

TV came in generic TCL box with R646 sticker on the side. Box is sliding upwards like reviews in youtube. After turning on I was expecting an Android(crippled tcl) but it is running Google TV Android 11 with google keyboard! Able to login google account and download apps from the store. All tv picture settings works as it should (fald, motion control, etc). Came with US 2 pin plug but 3 pin cable can be used. On Netflix it will run Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, popup will come out and Dolby Vision picture settings can be tuned (not accessible when not playing dolby vision videos). Youtube can play HDR 10 and popup will come out.

Its running on MT9615 on platform MT5889 which is A73 1300mhz (C825 is running at 1600mhz) G52 GPU, 3GB RAM and 32gb internal storage (22gb usable). As with backlight I've tested, it has 128 zones (16x8) but specs online said 240 zones which I believe inside their largest screen 75" (20x12?). On the back of the tv theres 2 hdmi 2.1 (4k 120hz) but I dont have PS5 to try them. Rated power is 260W while from BestBuy photo shows 65" running 340W.

The black is black, darkest black similar to oled no such thing as grey screen. For about $500 more you can buy C825 but it is running android 11 at the moment, not google tv. Google home and voice control works, 3 dots will light up infront when you say ok google and you can turn all the lights off in the settings.

My only gripe is that it does not come with the new remote RC902N with side volume. Instead the old RC802N was given and i think this is normal for supplier that they take the ori remote to sell seperately and make more profit?

The only reason I choose R646 over C825 is because it is shipped with google tv instead of waiting for updates for C825.

I hope this helps. Let me know if the tv I got have different specs than listed online so far I think it is very similar.

I have no permission to post photos but can dm me and i send you the Aida reports.

Thanks for the review!

Thinking if I should pull the trigger tmr since it is 9.9, or wait for the local distributor to release it.

Do you all think it will ever be released in Singapore?

I'm concerned about the "fake" issues as well as warranty...

mini qled = neo qled from samsung?

Hows the sound? do you have sound bar to go with r646? I suppose c825 wouldn't require one as its built with one.
RC802N controller is the long version with numerals? did they give any reason for pairing with a different controller?
I suppose they get their stock from US, should come together with controller? mmhm.

Any additional reviews after 5 days? tyia

Im not sure but I think it will only be in the US since we have C825 here already. Maybe you can call Alpha Vision and ask if they bringing them in...

The sound is not bad, quite good actually. I paired it with Sony HT-S20R, 5.1 system in my small bedroom. But the Sony's HDMI says output but it support ARC and i could not get the sound working for some reasons. So im using optical right now and 5.1 is working.

There is a lot of sound setup as well, you can use TV speaker + output to get 7.1ch and can set sound delay as well. The tv sound is a lil bit faster so i can tune delay using my HT-S20R unit as well.

Seller agreed to send me the actual RC902N after reading my complaint here. Should be with me next week.

Latest update was to play movies through USB. Im using 64gb Sandisk Luxe Dual (USB C and A). First need to use computer (Rufus) and format to FAT32 and then plug in TV and reformat again and then copy the movie from computer. TV wont read or able to format exFAT. Max file size is 4gb for FAT32 format and 4k movies is usually way beyond that. Im able to play 1080p movies with MX player (the best quality vs the rest) with subtitles on and 5.1 sound.

My next project is to install JS USB OTG($3.99) and try playing 4k movies via the same usb stick with exFAT format ill update you all here...

I have not tried the mobile app. When the tv is off it only detects infrared signal thus you are not able to turn on the tv using bluetooth or usb signal e.g. airmouse without infrared learning function.

Unless your mobile have infrared signal and able to learn i think it will work. Jm2c

Hmm, if I have no additional speakers to pair? haha

You mean M113 fixed the usb to tv? I'm currently also using usb for certain medias, would be nice to be able to get 4k.
or do you mean your thumbdrive(being fat32/exfat?) unable to contain 4k movies? if so i think reformating thumbdrive to ntfs solves it?
