Invader PC is just the "prebuilt custom" division of Dynacore to compete with Aftershock, Dreamcore, Typhoon and Mansa :s13:

I actually had suggested my friend to buy the config from Invader PC, and got them to swap the 2 x 8GB DDR5-5600 with 2 x 16GB for extra fee. He also had his case changed to another Montech case since the Sky Two wasn't in stock at the time.

The reasoning was that at the time, calculating the total, really decent stuff for the money. The Asus TUF RTX4070Ti, according to Buildzoid, had probably the best PCB among the ones he have looked at, and the Asus TUF B650M at the time looked decent as well. The PSU is worse on the Invader one but not outright terrible, Montech Sky Two has no Gamers Nexus test yet but you are gonna have 5 fans (including the Deepcool fans) so it won't be terrible. The Deepcool 240 should be about the same perf tier as the Peerless Assassin.

Also, the part selection is way better than Aftershock, closer to something that I would suggest :s13:

Honestly at this point, given more ppl having issues with the Asus TUF B650M-Plus WiFi, I would pick Asrock B650M PG Riptide WiFi (or the ATX B650E PG Riptide WiFi) or Gigabyte B650M Aorus Elite AX instead :s13:

B650M PG Riptide is cheaper, though it has slightly worse VRM (12 stage teamed 50A DrMOS vs 12 stage teamed 60A SPS), no heatsink for second M.2. and slightly worse sound output. Most of the other feature sets are similar (7 USB, 2.5GB LAN, WiFi 6E).

B650E PG Riptide is about the same price. VRM is better (you can check Buildzoid's PCB breakdown of ASRock B650E LiveMixer, same VRM), PCIe 5 x16 slot (being a B650E board), 2 more USB ports, 3 M.2 slots (though the 3rd one slow but not crazy slow), 8 layer PCB, at the cost of worse sound output.

B650M Aorus Elite AX is slightly more expensive, similar VRM, 8 layer PCB (basically the only mATX with 8 layer), 4 more USB ports, at the cost of 1 less PCIe x1 slot and slightly worse sound ouptut.

But apparently Dynacore stopped carrying Asrock so the B650M Aorus Elite AX is a good substitute.
Thanks for the detailed advice. In this case if I were to replace the motherboard to Asrock B650 PG Riptide then the cost will be similar to the Invader one. However, I am losing out on the 4070Ti. Is this worthwhile?

Hi, would like to get advice regarding the following 2 gaming PC build (1st: Parts all from Dynacore 2nd: Invader PC)
the invader pc is better value for sure with the 4070ti for just $40 more, though im not too confident in the quality of the aio and psu. if they provide actual distro warranty (eg lifetime warranty for ram, 5yr for nvme), then going invader pc might be the better option. especially since u mentioned that swapping the tuf b650 for pg riptide in the diy build makes the cost similar but without the 4070ti. perhaps can consider the gb b650m ds3h or msi pro b650m-a, no frills mobos that get all the basics right while being cheaper.

vm i would foresee having more cores is better, so perhaps going intel may be the better choice. u can get a 13500 (14c/20t) with a ddr5 b660 for about the same price as the 5700x + b550m aorus elite, or with a ddr4 b760 for cheaper. i would say the se 224 xt performs about the same as the 226 for cheaper, so u can consider that too. ram wise, corsair kits arent the best, u can get kingston fury kits with slightly tighter c17 timings for cheaper. i would also swap out the 3070 for a 6700 xt, at 1440p the performance is fairly comparable but the 6700 xt can be found for cheaper and has 50% more vram.

It depends on what you are running in your 4 VMS, 5700x may be too weak.

If you need consistent performance from your VM, it's not a good idea to consider Intel too because they have a mix of e-core n p-core, which can vary the performance. The resource allocation may get messed up. This is the main reason people don't want mixed cores in their processors.

If you encounter an issue like that, it's not surprising.

I would get at least a 12-core CPU, like 5900x.

DDR5 RAM is abit ex and people say not much diff between DDR4 & DDR5.
As i'm getting parts online, can't really find Kingston kit that is cheaper.
Does the speed 3200 vs 3600 make alot of diff?
6700XT like abit hard to find stock. As the 3070 i found is priced at 647.

slow ddr5 can outperform tight ddr4 in some games, especially newer ones.

dynacore has the kit i mentioned.

a little bit, though usually the price differential is also quite small.

thats an ok price for a 3070. still, infinity lists the 6700xt at 599.

u can refer to the last full build i recommended and cut the gpu down to a 4070ti/7900xt to fit in that 3k budget.

For ssd, what to look out for? How does it compare to

For the budget 1k recommended build, you recommended the ASRock MB. While many B550m budget MB does not support USB-C, there are some that do like the ASRock B550m pro4.

In this case, would there be any casing recommendation with usb-c that is below 100? Or would that only be possible during sales?
for me... is the USB C that impt? can u buy a connector?

Between the two would easily pick Thermalright Assassin 120SE

Hyper 212 is overpriced here and heavily outclassed, you are buying a single tower for potentially dual tower money

You can try asking Invader/Dynacore to make changes from their 4070Ti build, as for the PG Riptide they put in their list but apparently they don't want to carry it anymore (I had to persuade them to help me get one and I have no idea why they don't want to carry Asrock), Gigabyte B650M Aorus Elite AX is a great alternative

No particular reason. Just wanted to go with Ryzen 7000. Didn’t need the x since I mainly use it for excel and web surfing.

wd sn850x is next best to Samsung 990. If i were to pick again, I’ll probably go 2tb instead of 1tb

i usually look at performance (namely speed, sustained and random performance) along with price. the firecuda is quite comparable to the sn850x in terms of performance, so just get whichever is cheaper at ur desired capacity, though my primary reason for recommending the sn850x is that local stocks have had a good price for a while now so better to just opt for it with local warranty. as for the 970 evo, it is pcie gen 3 so it is about half as fast as the gen 4 ones, but it is still a very good drive overall and worthy of consideration at a good price.

pa120se without question. like kaixax mentioned, it is a dual tower cooler vs the hyper 212 single tower, plus the 212 is quite dated by now.

do note that while 7700 is comparable to the 13700 in gaming, it lags far behind in productivity (eg code compilation).

I am trying to get a build up to replace my old Haswell PC but very lazy build myself.
Mostly gaming, video editing and encoding.
Are all these parts compatible with each other?
Few questions:
Looking at ASUS or Gigabyte Mobos, any additional recommendations? Guess most of them have min 4 SATA ports?
Is it worth to go up to 7700X or is the normal version ok
5600MHz vs 6000MHz - doesnt seem too worth to upgrade?
PSU able to withstand all the way to 7900XT?

Preferably will go to 1 shop to settle everything
MB & CPUASUS ROG STRIX B650E-F GAMING WIFI + 7700X
RAMKINGSTON FURY BEAST RGB 5600MHz CL36 AMD EXPO (2x16GB)
GPURX480 (Reuse, probably upgrade to 6750XT)
SSDCrucial MX500 2TB
PSUCorsair RM850e
CaseLian Li PC O11 Evo Black
AIOArtic Freezer II 360

Thanks in advance
